They can last a long time..... my '07 G35X that I bought new will be 11 years old this March. It is still on stock TPMS sensors (other than a single failed one under warranty)
HIDs are also stock..albeit dimmer than new.

I was able to have a local tire shop clone my OEM TPMS sensors. It wasn't without effort, but the owner of the tire shop was a good sport and agreed to the "science experiment". The programming device required an update that meant the programmer had to be flashed. We had initial problems with first set of TPMS sensors since the TPMS programmer company had split into two and we required sensors from the other company. In the end, we were able to clone the sensors and it works like a charm. I am now able to swap tires (winter set/summer set) without the need to reprogram the TPMS sensor IDs using Techstream. The only potential downside is the reliability/life of the cloned TPMS sensors. My previous vehicle was a 2006 IS250 and I had bought sensors with winter tires when I purchased the car. Eleven years later (prior to selling the car), all sensors still worked. Time will tell if the cloned sensors will last as long, but overall I am extremely pleased. Would highly recommend!

They were aftermarket sensors. In particular, the aftermarket sensors have the ability to be programmed so the behave like OEM sensor and can have the ID changed to match the OEM IDs. I am not aware of anyone able to change the IDs of the OEM sensors.

Run in compatibility mode. Did you try that? WOW (Windows on Windows) is a 32 bit implementation of Win32 on Win64. It not only allows 32bit progs to run on 64bit opsys, but allows for 32 bit output to connected devices also.

First and foremost, turn off ALL of your network capability on whatever computer you're using. Usually the Chinese copies are loaded with viruses and trojans. I'm running mine on a Acer Netbook, Win7 64bit... it did take some fiddling to get it to recognize the driver. Some Googling led me to the Tundra forum where I was able to get the answers I needed.

Techstream cost and will it work on 2015 Tundra ?
Girlfriend just got a really nice 2015 GX and the TPMS dash light is blinking (probably bad sensor ) . I was thinking about getting Techstream to use on both . I will check Tundras.com as well .

cost little over 100.00. It depends what you want. For the time being I'd make sure all tire pressure is OK including spare and reset the system and see. When cold
pressure reds lower..

I aired up all 4 tires (not spare) . I will check the spare this week . the dash light flashes and then just stays on. I will stop by my tire guy if the spare is not the issue , he puts a new sensor on for $75 per tire. I may look in the Techstream for both if the work on Lexus and Toyota ( they should ) lol .

If you have a windows 32-bit version laptop, the cable is about $30 or less on eBay. It also comes with Techstream software but you can download different version on the Net. It will work with Toyota and Lexus.

I've used mine for TPMS swaps between summer and winter, installed and programmed OEM remote start, installed Crawl Control as well as full on health checks of vehicle.
