Clicked the link and Lexus website says the page is not available. Searched on lexus pressroom website using keyword Gx460 and the latest GX article is on 2019 gx460. Think lexus took down 2020 gx460 announcement?
This is a very low effort update. A few switches and software updates. Oh yea, the high performance grill and headlights will improve fuel economy by 15% and power magically goes up another 30hp.

What makes the LX steering wheel superior to the 4-spoke GX one? I personally like the current one more.

MY20 allocations for customer pre-order begin shortly thereafter in September
MY20 on lots by the end of September
Pricing data is still unreleased. MY19 incentives have not changed officially, and dealers are in a holding pattern price wise.

One less steering wheel to produce? I agree that the steering wheel and Gear selector currently feels more solid then the new ones, but again small minority, and as a joke, a person buying the MY20 needs to feel special that they bought something new and different from the last 14-19 MYs lol (dont tell them its basically the same as MY14)

At this point, it shouldnt be an update. It should already be an full redesign.
Hmm, a bit of chrome here on this Prado and I don't know what is going on with the floor or that interior color scheme

Honestly, I'm probably just gonna take the 2020 headlights and put them in place of my 2017's. Grill, maybe, maybe not. I'm unsure about it at the moment. The fact that the 2020 comes standard with the adaptive radar cruise control might mean that getting a grill without the expensive bits in it isn't possible and I'm not about to fork out the cash for an upgrade when I don't explicitly need it. I hope that the wiring on the headlights isn't so drastically different that it can't be Plug n' Played on my current car though. Mine lacks auto high-beams.
I'm definitely gonna give the steering wheel a hard pass. I much prefer 4 spokes over 3 spokes. The 3 spoke just seems unfitting for a big SUV. That's a sports car's steering wheel.
I wish the Prado Kakadu trim was available in other Prado markets. Here in the Middle East the trim level doesn't go that high. The major national Toyota dealerships here have it capped because they tend to also be the Lexus dealers and use that as a means of bumping up GX sales.
They noted, "During our quick drive we noted that the transmission suffered from the same issues as the Tacoma's tranny—put the shifter in drive, and the body moves forward even though you're stepping on the brakes. Do all GX460s demonstrate this transmission problem? or maybe only this tester is having this issue?
