I asked about these parts. I doubt the gas tank skid is aluminum.

I believe it is that same full length gas tank skid use on the 4Runners.

Rog, looks their are 2 version availalble for the 5th Gen 4R. https://www.oemvehicleparts.com/v-20...tem-components

I have a WTB up on the 4runner forum, maybe someone will be looking to dump their oem piece after a black friday upgrade. Would still be curious to see the lexus part number to compare it to the 4runner skid p/n.

I would be very wary of adjustments like that right now. The car is still new, and the changes aren't huge. Odds are a lot of dealerships will charge prohibitive amounts for 2020 parts just to discourage retrofitting and encourage trade-in purchases. I was looking into getting the 2020 headlights for my 2017 GX. I was quoted a price of about $5300 per headlight, for a total of 10,600, without installation costs.

Thanks! Apparently this is the same part # for many other 2019 vehicles. Now I wonder if a whole new boot assembly might be needed with it

Added I found a picture of bottom of the ****:
