2019 GX Purchase - NEW
#16
Yea, telling the dealer that you found out online 20% discount is possible usually never results in a purchase. When they offer you a price, just do your calculations using 20% discount from MSRP and make a counter offer. Don't tell them where you found the number out. Unless you have a written offer from another dealer, you dont have a lot of negotiation power. Now if the dealer has the urge to sell at that discount or close to it, they will.
I bought mine from Clear Lake too. They might not be the best but better than Northside or Westside price-wise based from my experience.

I agree I bought at westside in 14 and at clear lake in 19...better experience at clear lake for sure

Probably August/September for the best deals.
Side note... '02 or '03 Maxima? I had a fully loaded '02 Maxima GLE Meridian Package/TCS and Nav I bought new in the past...not a 6 speed SE though :-) .... sold back in '14. 5.5 Gens... the last from Japan.

I'll keep waiting. Hopefully I can get a crazy lease deal.
03 SE Auto! I had a few mods done to it! loved it. Then got my GS, but thats still sitting in my garage needing TLC.

Don’t tell them the 20% price came from somewhere you saw online. Tell them another dealer offered it to you and ask if they’re willing to match it.
I walked in and said something along the lines of “XXX Houston dealer is giving me 49k for a 56k truck, are you guys willing to match or beat the deal? They’ll usually go for it or pretty close.

The best I came up with:
MSRP $57,485
Paid $49,537 + tax, tags..
Bought it from Winter Park Lexus.. I spoke with three other dealers, and they were all very close in price.
Decided on Winter Park as they are nearest my home, and bought from them before. This is
my fifth car from them.. It was a struggle, but got them to include the All-Weather mats.
I did notice that dealership was very busy .. Four other GX's were sold while I was there..
Perhaps better deals will come along for those still looking...
Regards,
Al

Since the 2020 does have some changes, I'd suspect the incentives to be a bit higher this year (assuming inventory is the same).

Let's see if resurrecting this thread will work or if I should start a new one.
Now that Lexus is trying to clear out the 2019's, what kind of pricing can one expect on a GX Luxury? In general, the East Coast is usually the cheapest place to buy a car, but I wouldn't mind traveling a ways if the price is right.
The Lexus site shows $3k in trunk money while Edmunds shows $4k, so I suspect that there is an additional $1k manufacturer to dealer incentive over the $3k. They also have the .9% financing that might be interesting although that won't work with the $3k off.
Looking for Luxury with driver's package. Gray first choice, White second, Silver third, Red fourth.
What are the target discounts without Lexus financing?

lexus will give either 3000 off the sale price OR 0.9% 60-months. Can’t have both

In general. try to find a dealer that has a lot of the trim levels you want and go from there.
So as I understand it, the target is 15% off plus either $3k off OR .9%. Is that correct. I recognized that you can't get both.
And then (for those that qualify) is the military or college grad discounts on top of whatever you've negotiated.
