2019 GX Purchase - NEW
I've been a lurker on the forum for awhile and I've decided its time to replace my 4th gen 4runner with a GX. I'm interested in buying new and would like to solicit any advice other members have on dealerships/deals and salespersons that have been good experiences? From my reading it sounds like 12% off MSRP is doable. I'm in New Mexico but willing to fly/drive for the right (low-drama) deal. Thanks all.

Based on cars.com, i believe your numbers are accurate at about 11-12% off the base MSRP. You can possibly see what this $3,000 cash incentive is on the GX, link below

I am also interested in buying a new 2019 GX..and trying to get 12% off MSRP.. awaiting confirmation from a dealer here
in Florida. Lexus is offering a $3K Cash back or .9% Financing. Can't have both.
Although I prefer to not have monthly payments, I am considering an offer to put about 1/2 down and finance the remainder
to take advantage of the .9% rate, and have a manageable monthly payment. The .9% rate is "cheap" money considering
we can get much better just investing in a Money Market account.
I would appreciate alternative suggestions ..

Leases for the GX are running around the high 400 mark, and their discount is around 11-12% with the factory cash. So a purchase will be much better. DONT BUY if their offer is similar to lease in terms of before ttl cost.
In addition beware of the dumb fee game some dealers love to play. Make sure your getting the absolute lowest with their fees included or stupid add ons like dealer tint, leather protect, smart crap, Nitrogen for life. etc

Your deal is about the prices I am getting from dealers here in Florida. I priced out a 2019 GX at $56.920 MSRP.
Dealer discounted $5,500 of MSRP plus $3,000 CASH incentive ( in lieu of.09% financing ) for a total of
$8,500 off MSRP .. BUT added $795.00 dealer "fee". .. THE "REAL" discount is $7,705. ,,,
My price would be $49,215.. + sales Tax.. looks like 13.5% off MSRP....
Dealer says that's the bottom line.

Sorry for delayed response, I had to check my docs. Sticker was $56,9xx after delivery, prep, dealer ?? For premium with second row bench seat. I paid $48,500 after military, plus tax and title financed at 1.9% for 60 months. Dealer would not go a penny lower. I did not purchase extras. Lexus wanted $10month for gap. USAA provides gap for $4 month. No extended warranty, I can turn a wrench.
Salesperson was Alexandra.

Yea, telling the dealer that you found out online 20% discount is possible usually never results in a purchase. When they offer you a price, just do your calculations using 20% discount from MSRP and make a counter offer. Don't tell them where you found the number out. Unless you have a written offer from another dealer, you dont have a lot of negotiation power. Now if the dealer has the urge to sell at that discount or close to it, they will.
I bought mine from Clear Lake too. They might not be the best but better than Northside or Westside price-wise based from my experience.
