Spotify with USB plugged in
Hello all,
I have 2014 GX and when I plug in my iphone 8 via the USB port, the details of the song does not appear on the screen and I can not use the car's control to change songs.
When connected via Bluetooth it works fine.
Does anyone know where the setting is to get it to work?

I use Pandora and have the same problem. My workaround is the same as your's; I charge my Iphone using the cigarette lighter port (not the USB port) and then BT my music into the Lexus head unit. The BT Audio mode on the head unit seems to work fine when I am not connected to the USB port.

I had the same problem in my IS these past few days here is my fix below.
I got mine fixed. I recently had to restore my iPhone and just realized that I had no physical songs downloaded so I plugged it back up to iTunes and transferred my songs back onto my phone.
After that I plugged it back into my car and it tried to play the first song in my iPhone that is physically downloaded and when I switched to Spotify everything worked as intended
I suppose the phone needs a physical song to read the iPhone as an “iPod” device and then everything will work after that.
