Just to clarify about the tail light harness.

any 2017+ GX that wants to use 2010-2016 tail lights must use the tail light harness that comes with the 2010-2016 tail lights. You cannot use your 2017+ tail light harness on earlier years tail lights because the LED connector changed.

Can you send link where you ordered the Sport tail lights? I also have a 2015 and like the red over clear look. ltsr just posted that the two harnesses are different, your purchase came with a new harness?

whatever tail lights you buy just make sure it is paired with the harness that came with it.

17+ tail light harness does not work with 10-16 lights.

example: I purchased tail lights from a 2012 that did not come with the tail light harness. My 2018 harness did not fit the tail lights. I had to buy 2010-2016 tail light harness. They were $70 for both sides.

Default How much did they cost you? I have a 15 and want to do the swap.

hey

seems like you did what I want to do. And if you say it was plug and play then I’m very interested. What did you pay for the set?

Bluebat customs sells custom cut vinyl for the tails in red or smoke.

I have the red and they look nice but I have not tried to install them yet

How much were they and does the install look difficult?

I tried to do that myself, did not go well. I ordered another one (since I only messed up one side) and had them "professionally" installed. it did not last long at all.
not sure if it was the material or the install for the Bluebat but I hope you have better luck
I went to a whole new shop and he ordered different material and its held up nicely so far, about 4-5months. it is much thicker material than what I received from Bluebat

When I ordered them, it was about $40 for the pair.
install was really difficult with so many curves, it really is best to get a professional to do it.
and honestly, I would just have them order the material too for you (see my above post)

I don't know where you ordered your tail lights from but I'm assuming you've spoken/chatted with a parts person and he/she would have known to order the 17+ wiring harness together.
I don't think any parts seller would just "throw in" wiring harnesses knowing they're not part of the assembly a kit and has separate part numbers.

For everyone who is planning to do this for 10-16 model year GX, I believe these are the correct part numbers, one at the very top has a wrong part# for the left tail light.

Scarlet Tail Lamp, Right: 81550-WY040
Scarlet Tail Lamp, Left: 81560-WY030
Wiring Harness(2017+): 81555-60B31 (need 2)
