Just following up to this. I picked up the 2017+ sport tails for my 2015 (right one used on FB marketplace, left one new), and like @scamsel, I didn't need additional harnesses. The lights plugged right in, and function perfectly. Best money I've spent on this truck yet. It looks so much better.
hi all, just wanted to give an update on this thread. i have a 2016 GX and i ordered these parts, and they were plug and play. they did NOT need new wiring sockets as I thought (and had ordered).

they were surpisingly easy to install too.
list price on them is like $586 per light (purchased in May '21), though i did get a big discount from my service advisor so got them for $358 per light. I really love how they look:
Looks great! I got a white 2022 coming in. Does anyone know if these same part numbers work for 2022's?

I just picked up a 2014 GX from Carvana with only 46K miles! Unfortunately the transporters did some damage to the rear. They scraped the bumper, gouged the lower bumper light, and put a tiny crack on the passengers side tail light. The drivers side lights both have some weird interior cracking going on as well. There insurance is going to cover respraying the bumper and swapping out all four of the rear lights.
I talked to the body shop and they are going to order me the 2010-2012 taillights which I’m super excited about because that was going to be one of my first mods. I like the scarlet red ones but they cost $110 more each plus $30 each harness. The 2010-2012 pure red lights are $5 each more than our alteza ones. Someone please correct me if I’m mistaken but the 2010-2012 taillights should work with the harness in my 2014 taillights correct? If not I just have to buy two of the $30 harnesses.
Yes, those will work. For what it’s worth, I bought the ‘17+ darker red tails for my ‘15 and they were fully plug and play. I didn’t need to buy new harnesses.
Thank you, I read your previous post and was a bit confused about the harness. On the brand new one that you bought from the dealer, did it bring the harness with the light bulbs already on it? From GX*Bob’s video I can tell the only thing that changed was the actual brake light led cluster/ harness but the part that plugs into the car remained the same. He bought his used so they already have the harness. If they include the harness then they are all interchangeable. From all the you tube videos / threads I’ve read it seems like the 2015 and up got the new brake light socket which is weird because the part number is the same unless they bring the harness and then it was a improved part.

Yes, the one I bought new was identical to the one I bought used, and had the harness and bulbs already installed.
