Default Scarlet Tail Light swap

Hi, does anyone know if the scarlet tail lights that you can get with the new sport design package is swappable with a 2016 GX460 or what the part numbers to these tail lamps might be?

update: found the part numbers actually if anyone was looking, now still just curious if they are easily swappable:

RH- 81550-wy040
LH- 81550-wy030

CL Member earlier today posted that socket and wires on rear changed from '10-'16 and '17+. This could affect tail-light interchange between those years.

Rear Tail Light socket wiring ('10-'16 - 81555-60A00) / '17+ - 81555-60B31)

I have to admit that I am also a fan of the red vs all clear tail lights. To use the 2010-2013 tail lights, on the 2014'+, is it a simple plug and play swap?

It *should* be. I say that because the tail light harness changed for 2017+, while 2010-2016 all use the same tail light harness.

Or for a fraction of the price (about one tenth) you can visit your local graphics shop that does vinyl and have them wrapped. That's what I did and it's very hard to tell unless you're within a foot or two of the truck.

^^^That looks great! How long have you had yours wrapped? Im wondering about the long term durability of the wrap.

Thanks! 4 months currently.
It's the same 3M vinyl they use for other vehicle applications. You care for it as you would paint (wash & wax) and most spray wax will actually add to the length of life. I'm told to expect about 2 years of life. For what I paid (right at $80) I can wrap them 10 times for the same cost as the Sport tails.

I am having a hard time finding a shop locally that has red without ordering a whole roll. only one shop locally even has good enough reviews for me to trust, they said if I bring red to them they'll wrap for $40 labor.
I will probably order from this guy https://www.instagram.com/bluebatoverlays/?hl=en and have them install it

Do you guys know if they remove the tail lights or do they install the sticker while the tail light is installed?

The shop I use is regularly doing tint and wrap graphics, so yes they did have to order me a roll which took 3 days to arrive. Total cost with order was $80 for the pair. This shop is able to order by the single square yard.

My tails were removed and wrapped on a bench then reinstalled.

Are you guys looking for simply clear red? If so, I have some that I can sell you based on the length you need. Just let me know and maybe I can help out. If you're able to e-mail me at Don@WannabeRacer.com, I'll be able to respond faster through there.

Did you purchase the newer Sport tail lights or did you buy some older '10-'13 red tails?

I purchased the newer sport tail lights that comes on the 17+ GXs, its a darker red compared to the 10-13. The lights came with bulbs, sockets and harness. All I did was removed my tail light, unplugged one plug and installed the new one and plugged in.
