Curious how many people maintain the subscription to Lexus Enform services. I haven’t used any of the destination services and really only ever used it to lock the doors and remote start the car. It kind of sticks in the craw a bit that I need to pay $200 a year for the ability to remote start my luxury vehicle when I can do that on my relatively inexpensive Chrysler, Jeep and Kia vehicles (I have 3 high school/college age kids) without additional expense. Folks keeping their subscriptions or generally ditching after the free year?
For my '17 RX350, I only subscribe for 4 winter months a year, $16/mo. For my '15 gx460 I have aftermarket 2-way remote starter, about $550 installed about 5 years ago.
Do the free remote start functions also track the speeds and locate the parking spots of the 3 HS children?
No, I don’t track my kids, but there are plenty of native (find friends etc) and 3rd party applications on the phones they carry 24 hours a day to do that if needed.
This setup works in some fairly fringe areas compared to my mobile phone. I've tested it by attempting to use the Destination Assist which I am not signed up for but prerecorded message could be heard about signing up.

Im in the same boat. I only maintain the safety connect on my 2014. I like the peace of mind knowing the SOS system will send help if I am incapacitated in an accident or out of normal cell range. Thankfully, my remote start is not tied to a subscription.
"Toyota’s Limited Service Campaign K0P, “Safety Connect System – Vehicle Location Inaccurate,” was just published and applies to certain Prius (2013–2017), Prius V (2012–2017), 4Runner (2013–2019), Land Cruiser (2011–2017), and Mirai (2016–2017) vehicles that have the optional Safety Connect system. There is a similar campaign (KLG) for certain Lexus vehicles."
I took my 2017 in last week and they did the update, seems to work well. I thought initially the BeatSonic bypass was the issue, but turns out it was the update with calibration. Here is the service as noted by the service history report from lexus. hope it helps.
This was performed in one day, did notice that while it was in service mode the Lexus app was unable to connect to the car.
I just received my notice in the mail today. Essentially due to incorrect programming in the Data Communication Module, after November 2, 2019 , GPS coordinates will be calculated incorrectly. Lexus will reprogram the DCM free of charge, program will be offered until December 1, 2022. It seems to indicate this only impacts Safety Connect features and doesn't mention it impacting standard NAV functionality,
