Default Telescoping Steering Wheel When Powered On

Is there a way to keep the steering wheel from telescoping in and out when the vehicle is turned on or off?

Yep, it's called "power easy access system". I'm not a fan of it either.

Press and hold the MENU button on the steering wheel (right side next to the up/down toggle switch). Use the toggle to scroll through the menu options. Keep searching until you find the entry labeled, "Driver’s seat movement when exiting the vehicle". You will have three options: full, partial, or off. If you didn't already know about this menu section, I'd encourage you to review all your options. There is some pretty cool stuff in there that you can customize.

I already have it set to off. Yet the wheel still moves.

The steering wheel can be set using Techstream.

It is available in the center touchscreen Vehicle settings as well. The seat and steering wheel can be enabled separately as desired. Check the manual if you can't locate it.

I like it a lot as I like to keep the wheel a little lower - makes getting out so much easier for me...

This ^^^

The menu settings in the vehicle only disable the seat movement. You'll want to log into TechStream to turn off the telescoping function. If you don't want to purchase the OBDII cable and TSlite, then your dealer can also disable the function.

I do not have personal experience as I use TS but Carista also allows for this mod.

Carista is on a subscription model now but they sell a one week $9.99 pass as well.
