2020 Lease/Purchase

Yeah, I'm in the exact same boat. I'm in no rush, but for the right price I'll buy. Trying to get as close to $50k. I know some have been able to do it.

I figure with the virus going around and slower traffic they would be more willing to deal plus the fact that they own 30 dealership down a main highway... I know they hurting a bit

Agreed, this is definitely a starting point. Once the 2021 starts to come out, they will get a bit more desperate.

I`m gonna leave this here take it as you may...
In 2018 we found from a fellow members that the true zero cost deal (dealer making zero profit from said deal) supposedly
MSRP: 58200
Sale price: 45300 (with 4000 lexus cash)
So the price before our current cash should be MSRP x 0.847%
I get that this is an outlier, outdated, maybe "inflate apr" and a variety of other stuff but take it as you may as the absolute bottom.

3 dealers in the Atlanta area have agreed to go $9500 off MSRP - $49,365 on a $58,865 and give almost top end KBB on my ES trade-in. No financing incentives, though, if that matters. Not sure if your NC dealer can match, but don't see why not if they have a decent inventory sitting on the lot. For another couple grand, it may be worth it for you to pick it up in Atlanta. That's just over 16% off and only took about 2 days of haggling online. And that's within change of some '19 CPO inventory around here.
I'm in a similar boat as several of you, though. No need to buy, ES is doing well and free, and wife's RX is almost free. Just afraid that I'll miss out on such a great deal if the economy rebounds. Hoping I can grab a '20 at the end of year/ early 1Q '21 for a similar price.

Guys - OTD prices are NOT really relevant here because everyone lives in a different state and has different tax. What you should discuss is $ or % off MSRP, BEFORE tax, lic, etc...
This is a great site and has helped me to negotiate and find best prices for at least 3 Lexus purchases. For example, in 2018 I picked up a $57.5K MSPR premium for $45.5K (before tax, lic, etc...)
The prices that people are posting ($10K off) are good, but not great. I feel with our economy and number of people unemployed, you should be able to get at least the same deal as 2018. I could be wrong, but if you can wait, prices will go down.
