Got it. Thanks. If you had a good experience with your salesperson I'm open to recommendations. The dealer locally (SC) is more miss than hit so I'm looking in NC as well.

I want to say big thanks to this forum once again. My fourth success deal due to all information i find here. I just helped to close the deal for my friend. He got Lexus GX 460 luxury sport edition with 15% off MSRP. We live in PA but we got the car in Maryland at Len Stoler Lexus of Owings Mills MD

Sounds like a very decent deal. Any chance you'd be willing to post a picture of the quote with personal info removed? I'd ask for the salesperson but Len Stoler does not have the color I'm after in stock.

Get your predictions in before May 1st about the status of Lexus Cash and APR:

Currently $2500 or 0.9%

My personal prediction is nothing will change, with interest rate holding at zero, carmakers are kicking their inventory issues (where they maybe) down the road.

GX/tahara plant status is unknown, but inventory levels are going up so either vehicles were inbound via port or ship.

Chime in, and we shall it see whats what on the 1st.

Hard to say. I think the average new Lexus buyer is more interested in cash than a low interest rate, so I think cash incentives will go up - but - if they are smart, then they'll do a long 0% interest rate to suck in customers that wouldn't normally buy a Lexus. Each percent is about $1000 on 30k on 60months, so if you're paying 45k on a GX (assuming some sort of trade) then that's about $1500 at the .9% - not a significant amount. With 0 for 84 months (like other brands), that's about $6000 over the going rate at a CU. That would suck in most new car buyers for at least 4 or 5 years into the Lexus service departments and will most likely result in repead buyers - but what the hell do I know...

Nice analysis.
Historically speaking GXs are cyclical in nature like any other model
End of Q1--->July-August Summer event->>>>December to Remember

After March, usually we dont see much in the way of Lexus Cash till July.

Right now I see it playing out thusly (havent used that word in a long time lol)

1) If your a cash buyer or LFS doesnt want the liability of more in house loans----->Lexus needs to put some more cash
2) If you a lease buyer----->Lexus might increase residuals like they have with their vehicles to offer some great leases

But seeing how their April programs were the same as their March programs.. i`m predicting more of the same for May as has been April

Supply and demand. If the plant in Japan is shut down, that's 5 months without new inventory. Kentucky governor announced manufacturing can open on May 11th. Means the Toyota/Lexus plant in Georgetown will be up and running again. (Camry/Avalon/ES)

- Tahara Plant, production line #1
5 operating days from May 12 (Tue) to 18 (Mon) suspended

Apparently only shut down for this time. So its apparently thats why the inventory levels seem to be constant or rising.

June incentives are out and there do not appear to be any changes from May.
