Oh wow. I thought you might be able to get one for closer to $30k before tax. I guess it depends on how old/miles you are willing to accept. I was able to get an older CPO for less than $28k (before tax) last September.

that's a good deal.

I found an 2017 for around $33k before ttl.

I email them for a quote, so we shall see.

with how things are, is hard to justify spending $60k for an car at the moment. with that price, I though about getting a raptor.

I love the Lexus but the techology in the gps is really dated compare to others.

Alright, here is my breakdown of my purchase. I've done a lot a research and have bought many cars this way. I initially tried to get a 2020 GX Premium w/ an MSRP of $57,780 for the low $52-54k OTD price. I got those numbers based off quotes from others on this forum, but after factoring the tax difference, which varies by state, it was going to be hard for me to do here. (TX @ 6.5%). Most that got the low OTD prices were in states with low taxes / no taxes. Also with those low OTD prices, they were not getting the .9% Lexus Financial pricing. The .9% financing vs 3% ish is a big difference in the course of the full 60 month term. With this all being said, here is my breakdown.

2020 Lexus GX 460 Premium
MSRP - $58,780
Purchase Price - $51,895.00
Total OTD Price (including tax) - $55,473.44
Financing - 0.9% for 60 months w/ no payment for 90 days

Just note that on a vehicle that is $55k, the difference between 0.9% and 3% is $3029.27.

Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts. Also wanted to point out, I ran into a lot of dealers that were hoarding their GX 460 to sell at minimal discount because of the shortage in supply. Apparently, most dealers are not going to get any til July. Is it possible to get a better deal in the fall... maybe... but with the 0.9%, who knows.

Well,

the last several days have been an headache,

I found the 2017 I wanted, email them. Exchange a few emails. Had the paperwork all assigned and was going to be mailed yesterday. Had the deposit down and everything, called him yesterday and he was getting it taken care off.

and then later that night calls and tells me the car was sold.. I was like wtf, how can you tell me one thing and then tells me something else.

He tried to tell me this and that and try to put words in my mouth, needless to say. I’m very disappointed on how they took care of things, what are the chances that the car was sold when I was purchasing it. Is very unprofessional and dishonest.

Sorry that happened to you. And yes, that's incredibly unprofessional. If you had put a deposit down, that should be enough to mark it as sold and keep others from buying it.

They even wanted me to put a deposit down on the GX I just bought. I told them no, and that if they sold it in the 1 or 2 days before we could complete the deal, then so be it. Needless to say, if I had put a deposit down and they still sold it out from under me, I would never use that dealer for anything else.

Did they at least refund your deposit?

They did but at the same time. They have made zero attempts to make things right, both the sales people have not followed up since then. It really shows how unprofessional they are.

That may help, but to be honest, I don't give two *****s what people write on Yelp or Google. Most of the time, they're negative reviews from people who got screwed over. 99% of positive responses are never posted. Makes the % look horrible.

You got your money back. Move on.

well, looks like Im back in the market.

this is 2 options im looking at

1st.

2020 gx460 premium without sport + captains chair. the asking price is $57k before TTL. with all incentives, is about $54k out the door, ($7.5k off + 0% apr)

2nd.

2020 gx460 premium with sport and captains chair. the asking is $61k before TTL. The out the door price is $61k out the door ($6k off + 0% apr)

I tried to find an gx460 with captains chair but they are rare. this one is the only one I found around my area. most of them are premium without captains chair.

I want one with captains chair without the sport package and is like finding an unicorn.

my question is, is the sport package worth the price? is about an $7k different.

thanks

Default 2020 GX buyers - did you buy extended warranty and what was the cost?

I am in the market for buying 2020 GX. Would appreciate if other buyers can update if they bought the extended warranty, and if so, what was the cost.

I know there’s a separate thread for warranties but I couldn’t find the latest information, hence requesting those who bought recently to update please.

I am looking to buy the 8y/125k or 10y/125. I also read a couple dealerships in MA/Kansas who give competitive rates - do they still do that for outside states? (I am in NJ.)

Here’s the warranty thread link:
