That Newport dealer is where mine was originally sold out of years ago.

MY2020 Incentives
$2000 cash available back in Dec is still available for the month of Nov.
Mfg to dealer is unavailable at the moment. However a quick search of dealer pricing before and after shows that some dealers are advertising the same pre-cash #s

2020 GX460 Best Price Paid
Apologies for starting a new thread however I couldn't find any recent info on best price paid on the new 2020 GX460 models. I'm looking to purchase a 2020 GX460 Premium (or Luxury) trim in the Houston or nearby areas. What is the best discount you were offered off the sticker price? What's a good basis to go by (%)? So far, only $2k at one place I normally goto, but the usual "come in and work a deal" follows. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't buy a new vehicle without getting 10% off MSRP, especially the GX, it's a cash cow for Lexus (minimal Engineering investment YOY).. they have room to comfortably negotiate down to 10% if the car is on the lot...
You could always save yourself 20K and just buy preowned.... a 2yr old 2018 luxury with DSP should be around 50-55K by now and interest rates (if you finance) are near identical to new for late model, low mileage vehicles... the things that make a 2020 different don't seem worth it to me and those that are (like MTS, full length gas skid and tranny cooler) can all be added for under 1K to any GX...
good luck and let us know how it goes.. I am a fan of that red interior... may have to pick up a 2020 silver on red in 2022 as our 2nd vehicle..

Back in 19, the best offer was 14% (from sticker) with lexus cash for a finance (non LFS) on a MY20.
At the current moment the customer cash is the same, but most dealers are holding a line of 10% on first contact.
Remember the 14% is after all bogus fees but before ttl.
Some rumors of course, stated that Lexus was having some supply issues, so dealers werent really dealing that great of discount.
In terms of inventory:
Limited Base inventory, I think only a couple of dealers are stocking them and that too in lease heavy areas.
Majority Premium inventory
Limited Luxury inventory.
Red interior is quite sparse in inventory, but usually the dealer theme pairing
Grey (launch edition special primarily with sport packages)
White
Black.
Let me know if you need anything else

Supply was less then demand? I dont have much information then that. Based on what I know on average, most dealers usually keep a sizeable amount of these vehicles on hand, and what I see even with the biggest dealers, on average 15ish currently while their normal amounts can sometimes come close to 30.

Lots of factors in negotiating for the best price, whats your credit score? how much are you putting, down? are you trading or buying outright? are you already pre-approved for a loan or paying cash?.
Do you homework, give them your offer and be prepared to walk away - its not that hard, never fall in love with a vehicle....Don't fall for the 'I have to talk to my manager BS'

I'd put value in the updated headlights and front facia along with the 3 features you listed. How much value? 2-4k.. so if you can get a 19 for 5k cheaper if probably go with that. If that isn't the case I'd definitely get a 20 and have the newer model yr with additional features

However the discounted price should only be truly be dependent on whether price is for a lease or finance (lexus cash differs)?

Anyone have any additional experience on price of 2020's. I'm looking at a 2020 luxury with sport and off-road, which seems to be a hard combo to find and am expecting little willingness to discount.

I got 10% off a '20 Premium w/Sport Design Pkg among other options. Didn't have to push too hard and didn't have to get up and walk out. Plus I got an "ok" price for my trade-in.
This was at Beverly Hills Lexus and my salesman remarked more than once that January had been very slow - I was in near the end of the month. Plus, I was literally the only customer in the dealership on a Thursday while in there for a couple hours. Probably could have gotten a little more off but thought I was in the ballpark of a decent deal. I should add that I paid cash and so there was no financing bonus in it for the dealership.
