In all honesty, I see plenty of FF posts stating the same thing. The only option is to try and see how it does.
Here’s a few after pics. Again, I had Krown done in September 2020. I’ll keep documenting it yearly,

Default GX 460 underbody rust

Hi all,

New to the group here and looking for a low(ish) mileage long-term GX. The attached pictures are from a 2019 with 27k miles out of Florida. It went to auction and is at a Toyota dealer. I’m not sure what the white specks are, but it seems to be salt-caused corrosion? I haven’t bought, but it checks all the boxes re what I’m looking for and happens to be just up the road. Any thoughts on what that may be?

Have you asked them if it rubs/wipes off? It looks like gypsum crystals... like what ya get if you drive in white sands national park and don't wipe it off...

The undercarriage doesn't seem to have any rust that would cause me concern... with a nice cleaning and then some fluid film would likely look brand new

Thanks for the response there. I didn’t ask, but assumed they would have already tried to wipe off. That said, I’m not sure how many potential buyers ask to see the underbody, so they may have overlooked or not cared.

That looks like a solid frame with minimal corrosion

I just went through the process of adding a fluid film to the frame,

good overview of how to apply it

I'd recommend goggles/glasses and a mask when doing this as you will be under the car and this stuff will get on you

When i do it again i will try another version maybe blaster the fluid films smell like a sheep and now my garage reeks

the fluid film smell goes away in about 5 days... shorter if you can leave the door open or park the car outside a bit directly after application when it's strongest.
Also helps to quickly throw away all items used to apply FF (rags and brushes) or air seal the sprayer in a vacuum seal bag...

I don't see anything that resembles rust on that undercarriage, the white stuff could be anything, but it certainly does not appear to be deteriorating the frame or any of its components...

I use fluid film on both our vehicles, works great i apply it every year with the spray can bottles, probably would be easier if I had a lift and real spray gun, but anything is better than nothing in the North East where I live.

That video confused me, he says look the Blaster stuff is still there but I didn't see anything. The metal plates he is using for testing yes the stuff is clearly there but on the wheel well/mud flap where is the product?
