Perfect undercarriage to me. The only rust spot I see is on a bolt head for running board.

Looks ok to me. If it were me I'd just give it a rinse with something like a lawn sprinkler and clean it up then, as LeX2K says, regular treatment with something like Fluid Film or ACF 50 should keep it in good shape.

Thats the main concern to me. Not sure why at this mileage it would appear to have leaked all around?

maybe it was changed or repaired? is that sticker newer than it should be looking? looks like about zero age on some parts in that area.

Looks like a typical undercarriage of a car from Eastern WA.

Spokane was/still home for me.

I had passed on that GX and found another one that I went for. 2020 with 37k miles, spent less time in Spokane. $43k (has brand new Michelin tires, they replaced rear brakes, oil/air filter and battery). Under side didn’t look too bad but am curious if I should apply anything or leaving it as is I should be fine?

I think all of these trucks should have Fluid Film applied unless you live in a dry climate with no road salt.

Default Rust Question

Hello!
Southern GX460 owner. I just bought a leased 2021 GX460 from NY. Only 26,000miles but i believe it was parked outside it's whole life. Parts of the engine, interior and under carrriage look completely untouched, but some bolts and welds are showing rust. Some parts i can wipe way, which tells me it's not too deep. What blows me away, some parts are completely untouched, while other carbon steel is completely rusted.. some parts must be coated while others are not(welds/bolts).
Anyways, I need some advice:
Do i need to remove it? or will it progress further while driving it in the South(no salt)?

If i need to remove it, what's the easiest DYI mention?

Your advice is greatly appreciated!
Dave
