I was just able to remove the Support Cylinder Ball Stud after struggling with them about an hour. It was rusted and would not come out. After spraying PV blaster and waiting an hour, it finally came loose with vise grips(I had rounded the studs from initial attempts). I ordered the replacements from lexuspartsnow.comPart No.: 68961-20140
BOLT, BACK DOOR STAY

What I noticed is that when installing the new ball studs, the washer does not cover the holes so looks like i'll have to add a nylon washer. Also, I wonder perhaps the ball studs rusts due to some dielectric metal compositions of the ball stud and the body frame?

Your are 100% correct! Whenever you place different metals together (uncoated) they generally cause each other to oxydize (rust). They should have been coated with epoxy before installation IMHO.

Default gass strut supports part numbers

so far ive only found the lower rear support "6896120140" and i need help finding the rest. im replacing all four struts, but the part that the struts pop unto is rusted and ugly.

i now need the one that connects the strut to the rear glass.

I hope I am wrong here but I think those are sold as part of the rear flip up window.

In past someone was looking at the external plastic covers for bolts on that glass piece it was inconclusive if those could be sourced via a PN in schematics. I am not seeing that in schematics.

Glass is 6810560230 below but obviously an extreme for simple piece...I'll keep looking but confidence not high.

•• Can you pull one bracket off to see if there is a PN stamped on it?

I thought you were looking for the bracket that attached to the glass. According to this post they are part of the lift/strut.

@maduro im about to replace my crusty support bolts, did you end up installing those nylon washers, did it work to stop the corrosion?

Yes, I did buy nylon washers and it helped cover the hole and I've not seen anymore rusting.
