Lightbulb Alternator

As I have been gathering part numbers for that part FAQ thread I noticed there are two PNs for alternators

27060-38080 12V 130A 1
27060-38090 12V 150A, AIR CONDITIONER-DUAL(AUTO)

Perhaps tri-zone HVAC models get 150A model but when looking up PN it only shows 090 available in 10-13 models. They do have the extra AC condenser fan on radiator as well as one in rear HVAC unit.

I need to see if can pull a PN off of mine.

Various sizes

Too bad the specifications section on Lexus Owners doesn't indicate which one was installed.

You're probably right, though, it's a function of which options were installed.

Lightbulb Alternator: 130A or 150A?

For my 2017 GX, parts resources list both a 130A (27060-38080) and a 150A alternator (27060-38110)

Does anyone know which vehicles would have one vs the other? Option package perhaps?

a-ha!

Figured it out. You get the 150A alternator if you have 3 zone climate control!

Oh, I didn't know that but I could have easily overlooked it here. What issue are you experiencing?

I'm not experiencing any issues - friends and I were just taking about auxiliary lighting (light bars, etc) and we were comparing alternator sizes .

Great find for those interested in an OEM alternator upgrade for vehicles without air suspension.

Not rear air suspension - rear HVAC. But I agree!

One is for GX with tri-zone Climate control, the other is not.

I just edited my post - sorry, I meant "rear air (conditioning)"

Is it recommended to go Denso remanufactured for these? I just replaced one in my Odyssey and used a Reman Denso as the OEM is really expensive. Before it went out, it made noises for weeks.

OOh- someone on the GXOR FB group found that a Sequoia 4.6 alternator is 180A .... and might fit! 27060-38050. Someone would have to validate the connectors and mounting.
