Not to start a oil fight, but Amsoil requires that the manufacturer denies the warranty claim citing AMSOIL as the cause (from the Amsoil guarantee "If there is engine damage and the vehicle is under warranty, file a warranty claim with the OEM. If the OEM denies the warranty claim, the Consumer must provide a written copy of the OEM’s warranty denial if such denial is based on use of an AMSOIL lubrication")
No manufacturer will be so precise. In order to comply with THEIR warranty requirements (and the laws in most countries), all a manufacturer needs to do is state that the consumer cannot show that they maintained the vehicle using parts and fluids that meet the required specifications. They will never say "XYZ" caused the failure" since all they need to do is say "you didn't comply with warranty requirements".
Amsoil continues to be very careful with their wording, In their technical specifications they say "APPLICATIONS Use AMSOIL Signature Series Synthetic Motor Oil in applications that require any of the following specifications" but nowhere do they say that they meet any of those specifications.
That said, if you want to use Amsoil, then it certainly won't make your engine implode, but I'd be very careful using it (or any other boutique oil) during the warranty period.
I don't understand the preoccupation with boutique oils. A manufacturer sets the oil specifications and every oil that meets that specification will have the identical properties. Using an oil that hasn't been tested and certified to meet a specification is really just a crap shoot.
When was the last time that anyone has heard of a lubrication related failure when regular oil changes were observed? Toyota and VW had issues in the early 2000's but those issues were caused by owners not doing oil changes.
I've been using Amsoil for 25 years or more now with some vehicles & powersports equipment without issue. It works for me and never had a concern using under warranty. I keep my receipts. Perhaps cheaper alternatives to do the same thing but my personal track record supports my continued use.
The Project Farm series is an interesting comparison of various oils. Not really that scientific though.
Just the leathurique cleaner monthly, not the rejuvinator. Not interested in an oil debate in this thread.
Agreed.
You may want to consider using LeatherMaster as your regular cleaner (using Leatherique cleaner/rejuvenator every year) as it works better for regular use. LeatherMaster also has a product to remove dye transfer and ink.
Not much too this... heat gun on low to loosen the tape, get the old adhesive off (I used goo gone), clean the paint off, isopropyl alcohol where the new emblem tape will be, remove the wrap and push it on (holes align it) and hold it for 1 minute. Pretty much idiot proof... Now the rear also matches the front emblem. Time to go golfing!
Don't recall the third hole on the right. The 2 pegs on the new emblem lined up I am sure. Did the old emblem have 3 pegs on it? I have one but I broke the pegs off to stick it on my work bench.
The old emblem had 2 pegs too. (Also put it on the toolbox). The lil hole below is under the tape for both Lexus emblems... I think this little hole is used for the Toyota badge on the Prado.
Installed LED turn signal bulbs front and rear. No hyperflash, direct swap for OEM bulbs. A ridiculous improvement in light output for a reasonable price...
Thanks to @hzhao for the Amazon bulb recommendation. (See his sequential front turn signal thread for bulb)

We drove it back and forth to MD twice in 2020 so that covered the majority of the approximately 7000 miles driven. No towing, no offroad except some grass and gravel driveways...
For 2021 not much is planned except I'll likely drop in a new battery in the spring (since she'll be 4 years old in May) as a proactive measure and of course all the annual maintenance and cleaning/ detailing as outlined in the first post.
Assuming we don't move in 2021, and if we do hopefully before, take a road trip to Big Bend NP for some trail driving...
