Hands-free is the main reason.. No need to press anything. I do it all the time using Google Assistant.

Some of my most used commands (after saying "Hey Google"):
- Shuffle my playlist "Guitar"
- Remind me to take out the trash when I get home.
- Call ....
- Send Text message to....
- Navigate to...
- Cancel Navigation
- What's traffic like going to city/address...
- Open Waze
- What's the weather like.. (I use this when doing long drives so I know if the pass is going to be ****ty)

Most of this can be done by interacting with the steering wheel buttons but I'm just use to it.
