Default New GX

Hey all just joined. I traded a 470 in for a 2010 460. I love the 460 but there is a rattle or squeak at freeway speeds in the driver side rear wheel well area. Anyone have an idea of what it may be by any chance? I just moved the the vancouver area.

You may want to check the wheel well liner

I had this same rattle when I got my used 460. It was the jack being loose. I wrapped it in a microfiber towel and put it back and all is good.

Enjoy the new rig.

I think I found it. It’s a cover I’m guessing covering the gas fill hose it’s loose. I’m going to stuff a rag in between the cover and the body and see if it stops

had to upload to youtube

Bummer. Shoved a rag behind the loose cover and it didn’t make a difference.

Just curious - did you test drive the truck at highway speeds before buying it? Sounds like it could be a flapping trim panel

no we didn’t. Traffic was bad in the highway. It is for sure affected by speed.

My first guess was the jack. Can't remember the thread, but wasn't there a recent post where someone found a loose piece of trim under their GX? IIRC, it was the driver's side rear as well.

I never noticed a rattle but I ran these screws in years ago after seeing a potential problem. Pic is from today and no issues.
