Your build is beautiful! How much height did the lift you got add to the rear?

Thank you! I think it's settled in between 1.5 - 2" over stock

And you kept the 265's on the 18" wheel, right? Didn't size up?

I went from the stock 265/60-18 to a 265/65-18. So a little bit bigger, but not enough to noticeably mess with my speedometer.

Ah! I went back to see if I could answer my own question, and saw that. I really appreciate the replies!

Tackled the Brown Mountain OHV trail system in western NC this weekend. This was the first place I took my GX back when it was stock and still had the dealer tag - really cool to see how much capability I've added to it. The lift and bumper chop did the heavy lifting here, with the rock sliders coming in handy once or twice.

For comparison, here she is on the same trail back in December of 2019:

Took advantage of the Lexus parts sale that certain dealers were having and ordered a bunch of stuff for about 40% off + free shipping. Would have been financially irresponsible not to fill up my cart 🤷🏽‍♂️

No better sight to see...

Hitch receiver installed. I waffled on this for a while since I couldn't find a conclusive answer saying a 265/65-18 spare would fit, but apparently having KDSS spacers fitment it a breeze. Wasn't willing to take a chance when these were $750+, but around $400 shipped, I'm glad I waited.

Fits perfectly!

My old console trim panel was chipped and faded, so I snagged a new one. Weird that it didn't come with clip retainers, those had to be transplanted.

2020+ style rear emblem

Lastly, some of the plastic seat bracket covers were missing when I bought the truck, so I finally fixed that.

I also tried my hand at respraying the fading clear coat on my spoiler and touching up a scratch on my quarter panel, but we won't speak of those results...

EDIT - Just noticed the quote didn't reference the image.
I was asking about the rear door table that you built. I'll like to do the same.

Sure thing! I got a board at Home Depot (something cheap but sturdy) and a roll of rubber flooring. Stapled the flooring to the board and drilled in some threaded hooks into the sides.I also drilled some holes in the rear plastic door panel and tied paracord from the threaded hooks to the inner door frame. Piano hinge at the bottom. Been one of my favorite and most useful mods I've done to the truck.

After two years of planning, we finally made the move from South Carolina to Colorado. The GX pulled the trailer while our Model Y served as the cat limo. We spent 4 days on the road, stopping in NC, TN, MO, then finally to CO. I learned two things - watch out for tornadoes in St. Louis, and Kansas is not nearly as flat as I thought - it's a pretty steady incline heading West, meaning I got single-digit MPGs through most of the state.

The GX didn't miss a beat, with one exception - once we got past the tornadoes, we drove through more rain than I've ever experienced in my life. It overloaded the sunroof drains and poured water all over me 😅 after a quick stop for some weed eater line, she's good to go.

Side note - caravanning with an EV went much better than I thought. Stopping for 10-15 minutes every ~200 miles/2.5 hours was a good rhythm, and with such low MPGs, that's about how far the GX could go between stops anyways.

I'm beyond excited to be in Colorado and can't wait to check out some trails. I've already got a trip to Mesa Verde and the San Juan Mountains planned for mid-June.

excellent thread. hopefully you dont still have those plastic ramps. each use puts a tiny stress fracture then you end up one day with crushed ramps, underside white areas or wavy plastic is the beginning but not always present before the big event. best is to make some with wood, even pine works.

Awesome first trip in CO - two nights in Mesa Verde, and one night in Silverton. Did the Eureka Gulch trail, which still had several feet of snowpack at the top. Great chance to put MTS and Crawl Control to the test, especially on the way down.

Needed to change the diff and transfer case fluids, and there's no better way to get everything warm than to hit the mountains!
