I checked the gas cap and cleaned the mating surfaces/o-ring and then cleared the code with my Blue Driver. Two days later, the check engine light is back. I took a look at the connections to the charcoal canister and everything appears to be connected. While I was under the car, I also noticed that my front differential pinion seal is leaking (another issue altogether). Not having too much fun with this GX with less than 40K miles on it. Argghh.

I do plan on taking it back in to the Lexus dealer to troubleshoot, but I know this is likely related to the fuel pump change and not the gas cap. Anyone have similar issues???
Quick update....took it to the dealership and had the fuel pump recall re-done. On the way home, CEL comes back on. I take it back the next day and was told they would have to do the fuel pump....again. Next day I pick the car up and bring it home. No CEL....but.....notice an oil leak on my floor coming from the rear transfer case pinion seal. Took it back in and they had to replace that pinion seal....not once....not twice....but three times before it stopped leaking. Once I confirmed it was leak free, I took the vehicle and immediately traded it in on a 2022 4 Runner. So, it's gone. Folks, I've been a life long GX customer and swore I'd never have anything else when I drove my 2007 GX. The 2019 was an utter disappointment and sad to say I will not be getting another GX ever again.

... so changing badges will address your concern when both are essentially the same company and platform ? Sounds more like a dealership issue.

"Under the settlement, Toyota will extend warranties for the fuel pumps to 15 years or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first, and provide drivers with complimentary loaner vehicles and towing options for repairs."
