But to specifically look for one that needs to be replaced, instead of a good one?
I don't think he is specifically looking for one that needs a fuel pump replaced lol he just happens to come across one that haven't had it done yet

I've got my GX back from the dealer, and looks like the o-ring moved out from where it suppose to be, hence all the stalling and loss of power. Got new o-rings and new fuel filter replaced.

Had mine done yesterday, everything looks good, got a full tank of gas out of it. The gas gauge is moving and the miles remaining is going down.

I'm having a back and forth with my dealer in regards to some damage to my 2014 GX after having the recall done.

Anyone know how they access the fuel pump? Is the tank dropped? Meaning all work is done below the vehicle?
Or
Do they access the fuel pump from inside the vehicle?

Any links to specific procedure for this vehicle would be greatly appreciated

Good question. I am also having some issues, don't know if it is related. The car is throwing codes P0441 and P0455 which seem related to leaks in the fuel system or evap canister. Also wondering if this was caused by the replacement of the fuel pump.

Here is some info on the fuel pump

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...fuel-pump.html

Tank does have to be dropped to replace the fuel pump but there are some electrical connectors they need to release through a service hole in the back floor to fully drop the tank. Pump is too large to go through this service hole.

thank you for this.
I had damage to my leather seat as a result of the recall work done. we were advised that yes, we were in that area and they would fix the seat. When we advised we would like a new cover ordered and installed (vs a filer and air brush repair), they then told us that, no we were never in that area and that we only said we would fix it as a courtesy because of the inconvience of the recall. I just needed documentation that backed up my claim that yes, the procedures do calll for removal of the second row seat to perform the service work.

I hate being lied to. I get it, things happen. just stand up and do the right thing, don't lie about it

Got the recall done, took about 5 hours. I checked the rear seat area but it looked like they never touched anything there.

Here are the TSB instructions on what is supposed to be done (post 93)... unless they have a workaround they should be releasing electrical connections from the top.

I have a 2015 premium, and I never received any notice from Lexus about the recall (I also checked online recently, there is none). Is this normal for some of 2015 owners? Thanks.

You more than likely have a build date later than mid-February 2015... not all 2015's affected

Thanks Acrad! Just checked, it says 2/2015, so I guess I am borderline ok and won't have a chance to get a free fuel pump .

I think they did a good job putting everything back as it was, I told them that they don't want me back that they messed something up .

I'll add one more "issue" with the replacement of the fuel pump. I have been getting codes P0441 and P0455. Turns out the dealer neglected to attach the Fuel Tank vent hose securely when they replaced the pump. They said this wasn't the first time they saw this...
