Will do. It's been a pain unloading stuff at my cabin and having to unload the carrier before interior contents even though carrier stuff is less important and can wait. On the same token.. I normally load garbage and low priority stuff on carrier on return. I can always do roof but that adds in it's own inconvenience for just a short weekend trip.

That's quick I have three bikes to carry from time to time. This will be an excellent addition. Thanks for finding that and sharing!

Yeah... I quickly realized this could be a real time saver for me having this functionality. :-)

I need one as I can't fit a full size spare and have to have it in my trunk or roof mount and its awful on long trips. I considered this, but I honestly worry its a big hang up on the GXs fat ****. My small shackle hitch has had me worried on some inclines, especially on hard surfaces where getting hung up = big risk of getting stuck.

I'm considering doing something like this as a location for the base of a spare tire holder. If I'm dragging something this high up, I definitely have other things to worry about.

Did you order it from Wilco? Someone else sells rebranded wilco for a bit of a discount but I can't remember who at the moment.

Yeah that's the one, Hitchgate.

Same clearance issue with the tire holder swing arm.

I thought I read something about there being additional reinforcements in the doors of Prados with rear mounted spares.

Got a shipping notification it will be here next Tuesday. Excited for this... a utility device that will make cargo handling easier for me.

You got the HitchSwing right? I'm thinking of ordering the Solo. It'll serve as a step for me to access my stuff on the roof. Accessing the spare itself will be painless and I'll get to show off the 5th Rim/Tire that I recently ordered...

Post pics when you get it!

Wow... this thing is stout and well packaged too. Looks like pics I took with parts on garage floor didn't work. In the receiver is a piece that you tighten through the pass through hitch hole that tightens this down to simply a no way vibration state. Wish I had a picture of the setup. You do want to have to general purpose grease on hand before you install as they want you to lube up that area.

There is no wiggle to the slightest anywhere.

Sorry if some are sideways.

I'll get some better pictures on Friday or sooner with my rear basket on and in better lighting at my cabin. I actually got yesterday and installed but didn't get a chance to post about it until now.

You pull the pin and tighten up through this area..wish I had taken a pic of mechanism. It holds it tight.

With this in place, do you have to completely disable the parking sensors? Or just unplug the rear sensor wire harnesses and keep the front function active would work....
