Cargo Carriers

Good point on the parking sensors. It will set off the rear and right rear sensors in reverse. I'll see if unplugging works without malfunction error on affected sensors. I'll try to get some feedback in the next few days.

I'll measure in the next few days... I will probably pull off mine if I go off-road. Just a socket wrench way and hitch pin removal to take off. The Solo for the tire may be closer in but may take an inquiry to find out. For me... this is mainly for cargo transport from my house to cabin and back.
I'll take pics of what it looks like close up out of the receiver as well.
Nickk6: I wonder if a combo of the Skidmark4x4 and the Solo would work for you? Worst case you drag some on the SkidMark. A Father's Day sale but no free shipping for around $120.

My only concern on this thing is it getting hung up on the edge before hitting the ramped part on say a rock. I had my hitch grab a bad spot once on a solo trip, so now I am way more sketched out about how far things are sticking out there.

I just spoke to them recently and inquired about the drop down unit like the one on this red 4 Runner... $319.00 shipped to my doorstep...not bad at all.

This Wilco really lifts my carrier up on the rear. Totally happy with the functionality so far. Just have to be careful not to swing the cargo into the side of car but the tension level of hinge should prevent that unless one becomes really careless. I need to throw a coat of rattle can on my 4 year old Curt carrier. Amazing how quickly things can rust.

This is what that mechanism looks like that keeps this device solid in the receiver.
