^ Very nice, would you mind taking a picture showing how the bike rack is attached?
I need a similar set up....we have a few bikes, as it stands it's either the bike rack or the cargo carrier for a long trip. I was thinking of having a welder mock up something melding both.

Thanks for the reply.
You can see the two-into-one adapter in this photo. Rated for 5000 pounds (in case you want to tow a trailer) with the Kuat bike rack mounted to the top and the rearward legs of the second bike mount removed. I would get a taller model if you want to carry two bikes. My current setup would interfere with what you can carry in the basket if you mount a second bike.

Reason: Additional information
i got this one from northern tool. some of the reasons i got this one:
the ramp, i use this to transport heavy things with wheels. the ramp is a little longer than others so the angle is less steep. the ramp steps are wider with less space so wheels dont get stuck.
the attachment arm. theres an extra piece you can use to get more space from the vehicle. can also adjust it for a different height i think, i dont actually use the arm extension.
this one is stronger than the other designs, downside is that it is much heavier and not as easy to install.
no plastic corner brackets holding it together
rounded corners
bigger than others. another con is it costs 2-3x the harbor freight carriers

1up USA has a cargo rack that you can attach to their bike racks now, which would allow you to combine both. Yeah 1up up stuff is expensive, but it is the best, and made in Wisconsin.
With our barn door style rear doors, I would combine it with a swinging attachment for super easy access to the rear cargo area. They even have LC's and GX's as their model vehicles as IF THEY KNEW!!!
Have a similar motorcycle carrier ... better than a trailer ... can go 75 MPH on the highway versus a trailer at a safe 55-60 MPH. I always use a heavy cable thru the motorcycle frame to the hitch in case the motorcycle decides to disconnect ... nothing worse than to see your motorcycle flipping down the highway in the rear view mirror ... and even worse ... crashing thru the windshield of a following car ... not something I would want to explain to my insurance agent !
Ordered that one I referenced above this evening. Good point on the heavy cable through and will do. My insurance guy was scratching his head how to insure this thing and finally found a provider we could get for a policy on it as still pretty obscure.
