which one 2020 or ?
hey guys,
im in the market for an gx460 and I been looking between an cpo one or an new one.
the 2017-2019 are going for about high 30's to 40's..
this past weekend, we went and drove an 2018 and an 2020. the both were amazing but the price different, is it worth to buy the 2020 over the 18?
the sales lady stated they are doing and $7500 over and 2020 + 0.9 apr.. is it worth getting the luxury over the premium package?
the 2020 refresh does like amazing and come with a lot of standard features over the 18's.
anyone owned the 2020's, how is it compare to the 18's?
thanks

Given the reliability of the LC 150 platform, and the fact that the tech has hardly changed over the years, assuming you don't care much about the diff in the 20 from the 18, maybe consider a '14-'16 CPO from outside the rust belt. Looks like those are going for low 30's.

I actually just picked up a MY17, I think the MY20 is nicer with the new trim, new nuluxe leather seats, new steering wheel and new shift ****. The new grill and new headlamps are sick too, and you get the latest [outdated] tech Lexus had to offer. Is it worth the extra 15-20k? Depends on your bank account but for me it wasn't.
My primary use case is safely taking both girls to school and go to Costco with wife, and running over stuff.

Interesting. I have the '13 (new to me 6 months ago) and other than the low beam headlights, which I think are quite poor, and the infotainment (only marginally less poor in the '20), I kinda prefer the older steering wheel and shift ****. Plus I think the leather seating is nicer in the base '13 than in the non lux '20.
That said, the drivers assistance tech that is now standard in the new '20 is a real improvement (even if not as advanced as other systems) and I would think that would be a reason to consider a '20 over a CPO/Used.

I like the nuluxe in the MY20 I just picked up. It is quite nice. But, we had nuluxe in our 2014 IS350 as well, so I’m used to it. And with the prices dealers are letting MY20s go for, it was hard to pass up (16% off MSRP) is what I got from a dealer in Atlanta yesterday

MY2020 Luxury is only one offering Leather std .
14-19 premium and above had leather.
19 had a weird some models had leather while others had nuluxe in the premium and above category. Check out the @Acrad faqs for clarity

May not be useful since one can't buy a CPO for them now, but I think the '10-'13 all had leather. The base had standard leather, and the premium GX (equivalent to Lux for MY14-20) had semi-aniline leather. One could also upgrade the base GX's leather to have the semi aniline leather.

I easily believe that. We wound up buying a CPO base '13 last summer that has the seating package with the upgrade semi-aniline leather. We saw the GX right after they got it in as a trade in and before they did any work detailing/fixing it up. The drivers seat was a wreak before they refurbished/cleaned it up. We try to be careful with it even though I'm sure it won't wear that well over time. We use an extra seat cushion that helps protect it (but protection is a side effect, I need it bc for whatever reason the GX front seat kills my lower back when I drive for any period). I would think vinyl, at least some quality vinyl, would last longer than leather in most cases
