Just got a 2017 GX 460, very happy with it. I noticed these two holes in the driver's side area under the diff lock button, and wondered if anyone knew what the prior owner may have done here? Is that a mount for something? Or did a vampire attack my ride?
I'd guess an aftermarket trailer brake controller which was removed as well.. if the vehicle's receiver hitch appears heavily used then you have your confirmation without being able to talk to the previous owner. If the vehicle has a lot of miles on it (and was used for towing heavy loads) might want to consider doing a transmission drain and and fill simply to freshen up the fluid a bit.
