They must have read this thread. I was tempted to buy these taillights as well but I will hold until later this year after seeing the increase in price (hopefully they see this comment as well)

Also, here is the comparison with my LX:

The OEM LX yellow-ish color is created by phone camera as most time when you taking tail lights picture due to the shade of RED. in comparison, the new GX tail light is slight deeper in "RED" then OEM, but very close.

In Tecman's post #68 the gap appears to be somewhere between 1/8" and 1/4". He doesn't seem to think the gap is excessive, and as long as it is close to 1/8", neither do I.

I like the option. If I would change anything I guess for me the closer to the oem color and more to the light tube effect that the standard issue Lexus Led taillamps have been using.

A quick update on the lights quality as some of you had concern on the seal of the lights. It has been two weeks, I have went through heavy rains, car washing, larger weather temp changes recently from freeze to summer like in few days. No leaks or condensation in the housing. So far, the build quality seems pretty good.

Thanks for the update. I actually reversed course and ended up paying the extra $$. After a day or so looking at the stock tails I couldn't help it, I need them switched out ASAP! How long did it take for them to ship? been about 3 days now and no word.

Current pricing on these lights is $360. Sucks that they raised the price by over $50. Plus the shipping thing seems shady as well. Does anyone have anymore pictures to add?

Not at all. Lesser than 10 mins job to switch out, directly plug-N-play.

Yes. I am pretty happy with it. Never was the fan of OEM tail lights on GX, and almost went for Prado tail lights, but will need to modify the wiring and add the fill for the large gap at the bottom. This one really works well. When I was at dealer for fuel pump recall last week, it got a lots of attention from sales and services.

If it's not too much to ask, can you please snap a photo of the car at night from the side and rear quarter? I want to see what the tail lights look like without the DOT side reflectors. I really like the looks of these lights but safety is most important to me and I do night driving where I am reversing the vehicle out of parking lots and onto busy streets. Thanks!
