I am looking at a 2013 gx460 with 96000 miles it is at a lexus dealer and has good maintenance history. We currently have a 2004 RX 330 and love it but it has 166000 miles and we are looking to upgrade. the dealer is asking 25500 for the gx My question is do you think this is a fair deal and are these just to many miles to pay 25000.I can get a newer 350 with a lot less miles but we are tired of having our 3 RX, .comments appreciated the miles concern me also what do you think about the price, jimbo
We have a 2013 GX with about 84,000 miles. Not sure about the used market near you, but if you offered me $25K for ours I would say no. 96K miles is OK if well maintained.
Got our 12 premium with 103k on it for $27,000 last year. At 114k now. If I could do it over again, I would spend a few more dollars to get one with less mileage. Still, very happy with our rig and we got ours after Hurricane Harvey so there was a definite shortage of cars for sale...
Our 2012 GX had 92k on it last April when we paid $25k for it. No regrets. I shopped for 3 months all over the east coast and that seemed to be the going rate for one with tri-zone climate, heated second row and nav. We were holding out for a Claret Mica with Sepia interior and finally found one. Absolutely love it.
Where can a find a new base model GX for 41K? I see on the Lexus.com site that the GX starting price is $52,000.
i bought my premium with a hitch for 45300 brand new that had a msrp of 58200. My friend just picked up a 57114 msrp truck for 45450. Just go to a Lexus dealer and negotiate and you’ll get that deal. Buying used with deals as such on new sounds silly.
I paid $32k back in March 2017 for my '12 Premium with a few hundred shy of 35K miles. I have about 52K miles now. That mileage & price today probably puts me in a '14 base. I wonder what a fully loaded Luxury model is obtainable at? $60k?
When I was looking I was finding 2014 Base models for $32k and Premiums for $38k. I’d rather have the newer body style and lower miles for the low $30’s even if it’s just a base. Don’t drive a Luxury, you’ll want that package and spend more
On the '10-'13 models one can sometimes find base models spec'd in a way to be almost like a '14+ Premium model without AVS or RAHC (adjustable shocks and bag)... they are out there
The 20% off MSRP deals are going to be harder to find as there is not much of 2018s left in inventory. In SoCal - most dealers carry 2019 GXs now.
Locally, I'm only seeing 2019 models with MSRPs in the mid $50,000 range. Actually, I don't really want to spend even $42,000 on any new car now as I've had enough dealing with depreciation over the years. However... to see the GX selling for $25,000+ with 95,000 miles is discouraging for entering into the used car market for this model. I am not all that anxious to spend $25,000+ for a car close to 100,000 miles. I'm not saying people don't pay that as I see they do.

Wouldnt it actually make it easier to get 20% or more off the 2018s when the 2019s are already on the floor? I think you meant to say harder to find the cars instead of the deals.
