My single owner '12 Premium (ML/Air Suspension/ with 34K miles I bought for $32K. It spent it's entire life in CA. I wanted to find a truly fully loaded with "PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM WITH DRIVER ATTENTION MONITOR PACKAGE" and "WIDE-VIEW FRONT AND SIDE MONITOR SYSTEM/PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM (PCS) WITH DRIVER ATTENTION MONITOR PACKAGE". Rare...rare... rare.. it seems
in CA, especially those So Cal are higher than most place. North is a bit better. I found that out of state, TX and WA seem to have the best price.

KBB and all the others are flawed. they get their info for the DMV. Does anyone in a private sale, actually tell DMV what they actually paid? I doubt it. Too much tax, and too easy to get out of a couple hundred dollars in tax money at registration time.

Maxse,
Did you get your GX yet? I wouldn't worry about the miles, especially coming from a Lexus dealer. We bought our '11 premium in Texas last October with 133,000 miles for 21k. I drove it to Minnesota. I drove it all winter. No problems. 144,000 miles now... no problems. Air suspension works fine. Look over those Lexus maintenance records carefully. The air injection pump issue might have already been dealt with. Ours was.
I know 20k with 166,000 miles seems like a lot, but these trucks don't seem to go much below that yet. Especially premiums. I'd be surprised if anyone could post an ad for a comparable truck for less money.
Hope you'll let us know what you think when you get it! I really like our GX460.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Just my opinion, but mileage behind you is already used by the previous owner. Just a quick search on CL showed numerous 75k GX's in a little more than mid $20k asking price. https://denver.craigslist.org/ctd/6058821672.html Like this one. So if you drive about 10k miles a year, this would have something like 8 yrs driving before it hit the miles of 166K. And you could probably get it for about $25k, probably just a bit more, maybe $26k. So for about 25% more money, you have much less than 1/2 the usage gone. Seems like a much better bang for the buck to me.

Thanks guys. I couldn't really spend more than $20K. I got the truck for $18.6K. Believe it or not I have no received it yet, it's getting delivered to me and I'm still waiting for it to be picked up.
Records show that it was just oil changes at the dealer, and carfax shows some regualr maintenance at Toyota... I do see that the Lexus records maintenance show that the owner specifically asked for Synthetic Oil every time. I guess that's a good thing that he cared for it? But this means I need to continue to use synthetic correct?
I'm not sure if pump was replaced at the Toyota dealership or what exactly was done there. I looked at the pdf on this site and it seems that the 120K maintenance is more in depth than the 160K one. Should I take it into Lexus when I get it and just ask for the 120K maintenance?
This is a premium with TVs in the back... Not that I need them but it looks very cool. No collision warning though

Nice, enjoy the truck when you get them...waiting is hard!
I'd continue to use synthetic, either Toyota oil, Mobil 1 or Amsoil. But since it's been doing great for 160k miles with Toyota oil. I'd stick with that too.

Your GX is just like mine. Just a few more miles. Sounds like you got a great deal. Check with your Lexus and Toyota dealers and see which will give you the best price on maintaining your truck. Some good points above, but like you I didn't want to go much over 20, but I wanted a gx460. I think these trucks will go a lot farther than 160k if properly maintained. My brother drives a '97 Landcruiser with 270k and it's doing great other than a little rust.

Nice work at $18.6k.
The GX460 requires sync oil I believe (0W-20 no less), keep using that. Walmart has 0w-20 for about $25/qt. Get the advance or high mileage of 0W-20 if you can. When it is time to replace tires, up grade it to 1 size bigger in 265/65/18. This will make it look much better.
njoy the truck.

Thank you guys so much, I can't wait for Monday.
Are you guys saying I can just take it to a Toyota dealer and show them the 120,000 mile maintenance recommendation and have them go through all that?
Can't wait to get the truck you guys are the best

Are you sure the 120000 maintenance hasn't already been done? Join the Lexus Drivers group on the Lexus website. There you'll gain access to whatever has been done to your truck at Lexus or Toyota dealerships.
And I think I'd just call the Toyota and Lexus dealerships this week and see what each could do and how much it'll cost. I'd go to the Lexus dealer if it's about the same. But first you have to find out what's already been done.

only shows Lexus, not Toyota stuff that was done. Also only shows that owner wanted oil changes only, not 120K maintenance.
I got the car in and started another thread with pics. Lots of issues
