I don't follow the 570 much... it was individual option changes over the last few years.

This had to be owned by someone older because the dealer sold them like 3 sets of tires in 50k miles.

What should I try to pay for this certified gx?

This looks like a fair asking price IMO. $37K for CPO 2016 Luxury. Hopefully they don't add BS fees to it.

but of course there are BS fees. $799.00 dealer fee is pretty standard in NC. Totally Ridiculous. I think there is plenty of room in a 2016 lease return. Especially considering there are a lot of used GX on the market. They are actually pretty soft in the trade value. I just want a nice reliable auto to drive 20-30k miles a year for the next 5-7 years. We shall see.

Alot of used GX in the market? I don't see that and especially if you are opting for luxury trim.

As someone who just bought a Lux, there was NOT a lot. I actually had to go out of state as I also wanted CPO.

There are over 100 gx for sale in a 100 mile radius. the luxury trim is definitely most scarce. Only 9 in that range are luxury and 24 are premium. The rest base. Apparently the luxury is quite an expensive package to add when buying new and they don’t sell nearly as many. Something like $8k I think he said. Can’t remember.

My wife said she could really notice a diff in sport vs comf mode when driving but she drive like a maniac all the time so not sure if that’s a good judge of value. Lol. Dead serous, she’s a liability behind the wheel. Not sure the self leveling with be useful for use either but We would like the luxury package for the dark silver wheels(looks so good on silver)heated steering wheel, and power third row.

glad you passed on the other one for arcad posted a maintenance history. I read through it and there was an issue with a slipping transmission.

the one in this link above should still have part of the 6yr/72k powertrain warranty. When I bought mine (2014 luxury) the transfer case was lightly seeping fluid. Turned out to be a $1500 repair with complete removal and reseal of the transfer case. I knew it would be warranty work, but I used the leak to talk down the non-Lexus dealer selling it another $1k from the price we had already negotiated.

I don't know if that is really a bad deal if the GX is everything your wanting. You have to take KBB numbers with a grain of salt and you would only pay the different in taxes with a trade if I recall...

i think is a good deal for the gx but I’m not taking that big of a loss on the trade. I know VW suck at holding value but $9k? They can pound sand. That’s wholesale value. And they want over $1200 in fees. Man I hate dealers. Truly scum.

Man, that's big loss on the VW. I spent a week driving the similar VW, I liked it except the floatiness but yours is RLine so it should be better.

That's crazy fees, pure $$$$ in their pocket. Good luck.

dealers **** me off like no other. I can’t stand the games. Low ball the trade, over price on the retail price then discount it to reality. Then charge doc fees, infrastructure fees, etc.... I told them ill pass. That was the perfect color
combo and gX we want but I’m not paying that kind of money for It otd. Carvana offered 30k to buy it and my ford dealer 29.

I think I am going to sell it to Carvana and be done with it. 6k neg is still a lot but it’s not 9300. Either that or I will just ride out the VW until the 72k Mike warranty is up which will be about 18 more months. The basement for this atlas can’t be that far off. Lol.

if I did this deal I’d be more buried in the Lexus than I would be in the VW even with a few grand down. Not buying it to sell but if I had to for some reason I’d like that to be an option.
