I’d seriously wait. I paid 38 for a 2014 premium with 28k miles.

It's a GX Luxury. What do you all think? Jump on it or wait for one for 2k-3k more with 1/2 the miles??
Are you convinced you need the luxury trim? You'll have a lot better luck looking for a 2014 premium with a lot lower miles for that price.

No. I'm not in need of the Luxury trim. I've been looking a the base models too. Just wanted to see if the Luxury model for $31k and 90k miles was worth it. I'm pretty hung up on the high miles on it. I thought the Luxury trim would make it worth it. I'm starting to think it doesn't.

Here is the 2014 brochure

Trim level often is determined by how you plan to use the GX.

I don't think it does either. I was able to buy a 2014 lux 53k miles w/ driver support package for only 3k more.

You seriously going to pay or consider paying $32k for a car with 90k miles on it? That is insane. Yes they are built to last, a long time, but it doesnt mean it wont require overhauls and maintenance. And at close to a 100k, I would imagine it will require quite a bit of maintenance very soon.

I would not be afraid of miles, it’s actually the complete opposite. I’d be afraid of driving a car with low miles if purchased used.

Lot of miles for the money.

But it looks like that's what a 14 would cost.

Mileage isnt the real issue. Its the mileage plus the high price tag. a 4yr old car on avg should have about 48-60k miles. One can argue that it could have been highway, but how would you even know. I wouldnt pay more than $25k, tops, for it. Or I would pay $3k more for a 2015 with like 40k miles.

Lots of factors when I look at pricing

• Trim
• Is it rusty underneath from the salt belt?
• A flood victim
• Overall vehicle condition
• Any maintenance records
• Mileage
• Demand in the area
• Availability of models? Limited supply in NW US... you almost never see a private party sale either
• Carfax, equivalent or even unreported fender benders that are discovered
• Number of previous owners (Saw a LX 570 for sale ...think it was an '11 and only 35K miles but had 4 owners already.

I'll sell you my 2010 top of the line GX460 with 79K for $28K... I put an F-sport front end on it, custom blacked out the lights, and it looks great!

Default Price dropped!

Looks like the dealership dropped the price TWICE. It's now $30,949... If they get down to $28k I'll start to consider.... But until then I'll wait for a better deal.

Give them an offer and see what they say. The worse is they say no and you move on or keep waiting.

It's easy,

A car that averaged 30,000 miles per year means one thing. It was driven for long periods of time. A lot belong to be sales individuals. Remember wear comes almost purely from start up for Transmissions and engines.

2. Check the other seats and areas. Usually you'll note not many blemishes and marks, indicating further one person, high way use.

Service records are another way to check as well.

A car with 35,000 miles is more likely to have more wear and tear than a same year model with 100,000 miles.
