Exclamation Malfunctioning Touch Screen

Hello Everyone,

I own a 2015 GX 460 with just about 36,000 miles on it. Right now my touch screen it not working properly. To be able to select a function, I need to touch the screen just below the actual button. Now why this is a problem is that when the desired button is at the bottom of the screen, I am unable to tap below it thereby unable to use that function.

Please has any one experienced this and how to I rectify it.

Thanks

It seems your touch screen is out of calibration. Depends on your GX purchasing date, is it still under warranty? If so, just take to the dealer to have it fixed. If it is out of warranty, you may need techstream to do the calibration. Not sure if I see anyone had experience or post anything on this forum.

One more thing that you could try, there is a procedure to initiate the service menu on the screen to perform some status check. I couldn’t remember the exactly the key sequence to enter the menu option. However, I didn’t remember there is an option for touchscreen calibration. I could be wrong and just don’t remember. The procedure to enter service menu is on this forum, just do a search on it. Just remember the procedure to enter the service menu are different for 10-13 and 14+ model year.

Thank you for the suggestion, the link was posted on this thread and I tried it, unfortunately I could not get past the 1st screen on the service menu as the required buttons are located at the bottom of the screen and hence I'm unable to tap below.......sigh

Any idea when and how it started? Maybe some event could offer some cruel..... Another way to try that is have a system reset by remove battery negative terminal for 15 mins of so. This will clear all the memories for your GX, all radio settings, seat memory settings, nav settings etc. Not sure if it will affect touch screen issue, but at least worth the try.

No idea how it started. I just tried disconnecting the battery for a whole week, but it still didn't reset. Even all my radio settings came back after a few minutes.
