Wheeelin' Questions
Unfortunately, this weeeked did not work out for me because of a knee injury but there is plenty of time to come. All ready with the new tires.
I'm a newbie to this so forgive my ignorance. Couple questions on the modes to select when I hit the trails.

- In what circumstances do you normally want to lock the differential? I was reading in the manual for when you are stuck or slippery / bumpy roads. This generalization seems to apply to most off road situations but I'm getting the impression this is not necessarily true.
- Unless climbing serious terrain should I leave her in 4H? 4L states this will turn off VSC without MTS and VSC / TRAC & Active TRAC with MTS. If I added MTS did I get TRAC / Active TRAC in this module?
- I was also reading that if I use DAC to manually shift to 1st or 2nd gear. I did not add crawl at this point.

I leave it in 4L/locked. I find this helps me maintain a slow casual cruise without braking or gasing and I'm normally not in a hurry on the trails. Saves on transmission and brake pad wear. for MTS, only snow mode works in 4H, everything else can only be activated in 4L. For crawl, you can activate while in a MTS mode. Once in crawl, you can't select any MTS modes. I'm not really sure if it makes any difference to be in an MTS mode and crawl at the same time

This. If you are on flat terrain with no major obstacles, then 4H is fine to cruise along. But as soon as you are climbing hills and descending steep terrain, then one advantage of 4L is the reduction in slipping and heat on your transmission. The other is speed control.
Another consideration is the 2nd gear start option, which I use a lot in 4Lo when the road is relatively tame but you still want the extra control of 4L. With 2nd gear start, you skip that 4Lo, 1st gear "jerkiness" that feels unneeded in many cases.

Avs setting
Drove on Kure Beech NC with stock 460. Aired down to about 20psi, traction off and no issue. Tried both 4H and 4L. I didn’t really need L and H allows for a little faster travel speed. I was fine staying under the 15mph and just enjoying, but many with modded rigs zip around you.
My question is about the best suspension setting. I assumed it would be comfort for more wheel travel, but I felt the sport handled the rust better. Anyone have suggestions?
