It was a presentation box that this particular dealership (Eskridge Lexus) provides. It had the keys, key sleeves, keychain, pen, etc.

Nice, I got an umbrella. Does the key chain holder ring fit well on the FOB? I noticed they made the hole on the FOB so small that any larger key ring doesn't sit well when spun onto the FOB.

Welcome - truck looks great! Those wheels are a perfect fit for the '20+ w/ sport design look.

I see a lot of you are purchasing your gx's, is anyone seeing any lease deals for the southeast us or tri-state area that are worth bragging about? I picked up a 21 lx570 in late December for a smoking deal and my kid wants the 460 to cart the newborn twins around in. thanks

Sorry, I missed this. My key (and the key for the 2020+ GX is newer than that of years prior) came with the leather sleeve. The leather sleeve has a very long loop of string that attaches to your key ring.

Other than that, if you haven’t got the sleeve, I suggest using a smaller ring to connect the fob to a larger ring.

congrat on the new GX. I bought my 21 premium back in October, msrp was 58k, got $5800 off msrp but had to pay 2.99% financing. It came with 18 wheel. Which I didn’t like. Decided to upgrade to the same 19 inch sport design wheels like yours. Love it.

Congrats on the new GX!!

As for the premium vs regular fuel issue-- this has been beaten to death, but for what it's worth:

The GX uses the same 4.6 out of the Tundra etc, with same specs, and the Toyotas take regular and Lexus premium. The consensus on the GX forum leans toward running premium, generally with a "protect my investment" mindset.

The Land Cruiser and the LX570 use the same engine with the same specs, Toyota takes regular Lexus premium. The consensus on the LX forum leans toward running regular. Go figure.

IMO the fuel recommendation is clearly a marketing decision on behalf of Toyota, nothing more, and I run regular. Many others run regular with no problems, and I have never seen or heard of anyone with knocking or fuel-related performance issues in their GX (or other toyota, for that matter). But of course you have to research and decide for yourself.

I found this response on another forum.

"you'll see that they do in fact both have the "same" 4.6 liters of engine. The differences start to pile up immediately though. For instance, in the tundra the bore and stoke is: 3.70 x 3.30 in. In the GX460, it is 3.70 in. x 3.27 in.

GX460 hp numbers: Horsepower (SAE) 301 hp @ 5,500 rpm
Torque 329 lb.-ft. @ 3,500 rpm

Tundra hp numbers: Horsepower 310 hp @ 5,600 rpm,
Torque 327 lb-ft @ 3,400 rpm

Also, we see that the tundra engine is Direct injection alone, wheras the GX460 version is MFI.

So despite both engine being of the same designation, the gx460 requires 91 unleaded because it was designed for it obviously. It's quite possible that the gx460 ecu is programmed more aggressively to take advantage of the higher octane and the tundra is not."

Plus, the Premium w/ Premium Plus package unit I was looking at (which, as far as I can tell, is the only way to get Mark Levinson on the non-Luxury) was already sold.

So then, I decided to go with a Premium with Premium Package and Heated Steering Wheel, and narrowed it down to two. One of them was Starfire Pearl with the Ecru interior and the dark graphite wheels. The other one, a couple grand dearer in price, was Black Onyx with the Rioja Red interior, as well as the Sport Design Package with Captain's Chairs.

Well...I decided to go with the one in the pictures. Bought it off the showroom floor with 8 miles on it. MSRP was $61,765; I got it for $58,900. I think that's an excellent price given market conditions at the moment. The dealership normally would have had 30 GX units; thanks to the silicon chip shortage, they only had six.

CONGRATS! Thats black is stunning. How you liking it so far?

By all means go enjoy your extra 2 torques and -9 horsepower.

Definitely will. But on a different note, wouldn't that suggest the engines are tuned differently?

Nice, could you tell me which dealership? I'm also in SoCal
