Not having any symptoms but figured it wouldn't hurt anything to run a professional grade fuel system cleaner through a tank of gas. I picked this up off eBay since I think you normally have to purchase it from a shop or distributor. I do use top tier fuels so probably a waste.
I use Redline Fuel cleaner or Chevron Clean every 6months or so. Didn’t really feel any difference but it’s a habit that I do for every car I own. i also use Chevron cleaner too.
I run some Techron every once in a while when I remember to. Some swear by it. Some say its snake oil. For a few bucks, ehhhh Ill give it a shot. It also Helps pad the DIY service history when I run my VIN on Lexus drivers.
Texaco and Chevron have a good mix of additives. When I was a Mercedes guy my service advisor urged i use those fuels. I later learned the a
same mantra was being said by BMW and Porsche advisors. If you are running tier 1 fuel, and occasional tank of Texaco or Chevron and don’t fuss with extra additives. My humble opinion.
and have been pretty happy with it. Red Line has been making quality chemicals for a long time, so that's good enough for me. For the GX460, I usually do two bottles per year. Only one bottle per year on the ES330 and LS430 due to the low mileage driven.

Porsche has recommended Chevron for years ... my choice when available ... beyond that, leave well enough alone. On fuel additives ... the marketing types will also convince you to drink an ounce every day for optimum health ... for me, I'll pass. We Americans are suckers for the "more is better" sales pitch.
