2019 Lexus GX 460 Paint Chipping
I am surprised at the number of small paint chips I have on the front of my White 2019 GX 460. I've owned a number of other Lexus' vehicles and
have not had nearly as many chips. I only have 10K miles on it, and keep it waxed. Has anyone else had this or a similar problem?

I did notice this for 2021 in brochure disclosures "3. Starfire Pearl available for an additional charge."

The Toyota superwhite color is a single stage paint application I believe (gets powdery finish under intense uv over time)... the starfire pearl or any metallic color for that matter is 2 stage paint with a separate clear coat and generally more durable than single.stage against uv anyway... cause when you wax it you're protecting the clear coat which is protecting the actual paint... waxing a white Toyota you're waxing the paint itself...

I noticed a couple of chips in our 2019 (and we have only put like 600 miles on it since we picked it up from the dealer and there are already a couple of chips in the front. not sure what the deal is but any toyota/lexus with white paint chips like crazy, or maybe its just easier to see since the bumpers are black under the paint?...

Get and you'll do expert level touch ups easily. My LS430 has the pearl coat where the touch up is actually 3 separate parts. I just do the base coat and don't bother with the other two.
If you get that touchup pen, just put a drop of paint in the opening and tap the pointy end where you want to do the touch up.

Where are you guys buying these paints online? the link to the paints that fla2smoker posted have 200 dollar shipping charges... and we're in the same state, so obviously I want to order from somewhere else.

May want to reach out to Bell Lexus North Scottsdale. They sell a lot of parts on eBay at great prices too.

Wife has a 2019 in white. Literally driving to the detailer to get Xpel applied when we get there she tells me "I heard a big crack sound pulling onto the highway...".
We take a look around and sure enough a nice chip right down to the plastic on the front bumper beneath the headlight. My detailer was able to touch it up (it's apparent not with the exact color..but close enough) and then put film over it.
It's now little over 2 years old and the film has held up great and still looks great. The few times I've driven it I have been pelted with rocks chips and w/o the film the front would look speckled. The area we live in they tar and chip roads. Why... no idea because the same roads they tar and chip they repave (some in the same year). If you've never experience a tar and chip road it's a pleasure. Motorcycles really love it... Also got a cracked windshield this summer because of those damn chips (different vehicle).
