Thanks for emailing Grom.
Btw how do we tag them in this thread? I reached out to them in FB for previous issues and it took them a long while to get back to me and asked to contacts support.
The support mechanism at gromaudio is pretty easy to use and they are very very responsive...
I am unsure how to “tag” someone to a forum and I would be hesitant to use facebook as a platform to ask for actual assistance... but to bring their attention to something it’d be fine...
The 2016 has the 3.5mm connector for the facory microphone built into the harness. For your vehicle though, we do not have the support for it. Sorry I should have specified in my last email! Thanks, Heath GROM Audio

I wonder what changed? The new ICE?
I contacted GROM support via the website and they never got back to. No email nothing.
On the other hand I just discovered youtube has picture on picture feature. It works for some videos but not others and I couldn't find out why. I believe it could be that some are tagged or categorized as "music" and others were "video" since playing music in the background is only for Premium subscribers.
With PIP, I can minimized the video, open Waze or other apps, and it's still playing in a small window in the corner.
Still trying to figure out why it wouldn't auto connect to hotspot when I turn off the car or walked away from the car. For wifi, it auto connects fine.

If you are using iPhone hotspot, it will not auto connect. It is due to how iPhone hotspot been designed. It will not reconnect any device if it has been dropped for security reasons. If you have an android phone, the hotspot will be stay alive all the time.
Thanks for the info, I searched but couldn't find more on this but it makes sense in term of security seasons.

I haven't tried large size but medium is about 1.5x or larger of those (they are small). Large is probably too big and you probably can only have 2 on the entire screen.

Good to know, thanks! I'll definitely play around with it once I get some freetime to get it installed... LOL
Grom released VL2 version 3.29 yesterday. The upgrade went smooth except since version 3.28 upgrade, after the initial upgrade reboot, I got the blue-ish tint over the entire screen. Soft reboot didn’t fix and only pulling the power that it came reboot to normal. It happened since version 3.28 upgrade.
GROM never got back to me regarding this. I will email them again.
However they did responded regarding the backup camera proximity alert visual issue.
“ The sensors should still work audibly. There might be some interference with the visual representation though. We are working on it and should have a fix shortly.”
Anyone else has the same issue with the blue screen?
