Nitrofill on tires Standard from the factory?
I was looking at the vehicle service history for kicks and saw the very first entry was a PDI entry about standard alt Nitro fill on 4 Tires. Is this common place for everyone else?
I know some dealers make this a dealer line addon, so wondering if this entry was at port or at the dealership?

I think Nitrogen is a bi-product of manufacturing Snake Oil. Air is 80% nitrogen and countless (Scientific) studies have shown only miniscule differences in performance and pressure loss. This is just another dealer big bucks add on. JMHO

MB tries to get you for a N tire fill charge. I think it's total BS, the vehicles come to a dealers w/ the tires inflated already, so what does the dealer do?, do they vacuum out the "air" in the tires and then refill with N?
Same for any "factory fill". They mount the tire and it's already filled with air (1atm), then they add N to 2.4atm?
Maybe if I fill mine from my helium tank (weld tank) my vehicle will be lighter, get better MPG's, and longer tread life?

Agree with the previous posts ... nitrogen is used on race cars given maintaining tire pressures as close as possible for the duration of a race over changing ambient and track conditions can make a difference. So of course, marketers latched onto this as a sales pitch and decided to BS consumers as to the advantage. Even if one is buying 100% pure Nitrogen (which is not the case at Costco), the advantage is simply not worth the trouble and cost ... especially when considering that unless the tire is evacuated of all air (a physical impossibility) completely filling with only nitrogen is impossible anyway.
Bottom line ... everyone needs to stop being so lazy and just check your tire pressures on a regular basis.

Totally agree that unless they magically figured out a way to concentrate Nitrogen into tires then the 70% already available in tires its pointless. However my question was in regard to the vehicle service history on Lexus drivers hub, where the first entry was "Nitro Fill tires". Is that a factory/port service entry everyone has in their history or was that something the dealership PDI process enters into the service history
