Default Two Lexus Cars with a single Fob??

Crazy question...

My wife and I have a 2015 GS350 and a 2017 GX460. Is there any way to program one of the keyfobs (GX or GS) to function with BOTH vehicles? That would certainly be convenient!

Please don't flame me if this is stupid but it would make life much easier!

Best - joe

Thats a really cool idea! But definitely not. Each fob is flashed to the security ECU in the car, it would need to be completely redesigned to be able to store 2 ecu profiles.
Although, I suppose if the ecu in the car was flashed to the same code, and the keys were flashed to the same code, it could maybe theoretically work? I think the security flash for the keys is done at random though, not like a code that can be copy and pasted. Im definitely interested in other peoples thoughts on this.

Maybe TOYO/LEX should think about this for a 'Loyal owner' with multiple Lex vehicles. It could be like a dual SIM phone. It certainly isnt rocket science!

Two cars in the driveway and you’re going to unlock or remote start what car...
I get the concept but not doable without something aftermarket.

Smart key fob is two way communication device, no way to be programmed with two car at same time.

I think Lexus should use some AI in the remote so it can READ my mind to know which car the remote should work on at any given time, plus the remote should have some emotions as well.

Am I asking too much? The simple Enform remote activation takes more than 48 hours, SMH.

I thought I read somewhere a while ago it could be done if the keys had the same FCC number. Assuming they did, if you took the key for that came with the GS and using Techstream registered on the key on GX, that key would work. The downside is both vehicles were close together, pressing the lock or unlock on the fob would do so for both vehicles. I was considering doing this but I have a Toyota and Lexus and the FCC numbers didn't line up.
