Default Thinking of getting back into a (used) GX

I put 100k miles on a 2007 GX470 and loved it. Since I've been through a few other cars (cayenne s, gti, 4runner trd, audi sq5, etc).

I've sold all of those and am looking at CPO'd GX460s. A couple questions:
1) In the 2017-2018 range, how do I know it has leather? Looks like a Premium package in '17 but then you have to go Lux in '18?
2) Looks like the ML sound system is only available as an option on the higher spec cars. I don't care too much about the top end sound. Is the standard decent?
3) Any issue with one without a hitch? Can OEM hitches be easily sourced? Looks like wiring is already there?
4) the rear air in my GX470 was a pain. it looks like most of the recent gx460s have coils unless you're in the Luxury trim?
5) Looks like KDSS is standard on all of the recent 460s?

Anything I should look out for? Options that are must have? Thanks!

1 - 460 - Seating Material - Semi-Aniline Leather, Leather or Nuluxe : ‘10-’13 Premium Semi-Aniline Leather / ‘10-’13 Base with “Comfort Plus Package” - Semi-Aniline Leather / ‘10-’13 Base - Leather / ‘14+ Luxury Semi-Aniline Leather / ‘14-’18 Premium- Leather / ‘14+ Base - Nuluxe / ‘19 Premium Leather or Nuluxe depending on interior color choice / '20-'21 Base & Premium - Nuluxe / '20-'21 Luxury Semi-Aniline Leather

2 - I have ML so can't comment on standard radio

3 - OEM hitches are on huge backorder right now but supply is trickling in but don't expect to get one right away. Some have waited for over a month

4 - '10-'13 Premium and '14+ Luxury have AVS/RAHC.

5 - All 460's have KDSS 2010-2021 regardless of trim

Not really any "new" features on the '18 over the '17 other than this

2018
* Semi-Aniline bench seat on Luxury grade becomes standard
* Captain’s chairs now included in Sport Design Package on Luxury trim

Be advised that fuel pump recall is now in effect for the '18-'19s. '16 & '17 are so far in the clear.

I have the standard (base) audio, so can't comment on the ML, but the sound is much better in my IS250 with base audio than our GX- might be partly the inherent acoustics of the interior, or bc our GX is a '13, not sure. Personally I don't think the stereo alone would be worth the extra cost for the luxury trim, but it would be worth something. Maybe you can test drive a couple of GXs (maybe new GXs if there is limited CPO stock) and check the sound of the base stereo to the ML with your favorite CD/Songs/Podcasts to hear at road speed if the base is a deal breaker.
One thing you might want to consider, if you haven't already, is that the GX really hasn't changed much at all since '10, so maybe you could get even better deal by opening it up to a CPO '14-'16 - esp if the GX is from the sunbelt.

Interesting - does this mean that Lux '14-'17 and ‘10-’13 Premium / ‘10-’13 Base with “Comfort Plus Package” don't have semi-aniline leather in the back bench?

I may have to go back and revisit where I saw that.. I think it is about "bench" seat being standard on Luxury versus Captains chairs.

Looking at product description sheet for that model year

"Semi-aniline leather bench seat with diamond-cut perforation"

A Toyota service advisor told my buddy that they are just spacing out the recall notices as parts become available.. and that they'll likely all be recalled at some point.
