Reviving this discussion. @TaninAuto can an amateur remove and reinsert the cluster needles on the GX460 gauge without causing calibration issues? The second video @Acrad posted above gives me an idea for a way to cover up a flashing AFS light for a non-OEM headlight replacement if I can be relatively sure I wont screw up the cluster doing it.

rip into that to disable a light?
should be able to send the correct signal at the harness

We would not recommend anyone to disassemble their own clusters and try to calibrate needles.
Especially with the inflating cost of parts and the decreasing number of suppliers that have them, it's just not a risk I would take.
