Default Plastic under the hood

All the plastic you have to remove to do anything under the hood , I am thinking of getting rid of most of it .
Mostly the sheet closest to the front . That may be all there is under there .
Might do the same on my 470
Am I hurting anything ?
Anyone else do this ?

The plastic is more than cosmetic... it's there to minimize NVH and also to direct airflow as the vehicle moves down the road. What are you trying to achieve by removing it?

Why do you have to remove those cover for adding windshield fluid? Am I missing something?

I wonder if he meant radiator cap and coolant recovery tank?

I’ve seen some use hole saws to make for access points to those items.

I'm hoping @luap is confused and is not filling w/s washing fluid into the radiator or radiator recovery tank... that would be a disaster

Had oil changed at Oil Can Henry's and he said looked full so no reason to remove plastic , referring to washer fluid
I assumed he know what he was talking about and did not look to confirm before posting

Besides , I've know others to remove under the hood plastic on their vehicles for better access to battery and what ever else
