GX460 model year if you could do it all over again?
I'm looking into getting a GX460 sometime next year and I've narrowed down my search to 2013 for better ground clearance and better off-road candidate over 2014+ model years.
Is there any reason why I should be looking at +14 models for better technology or must haves?
I don't plan on doing any rock climbing, but I do want to do a 33" wheels tires, 3" lift, sliders, roof tent to start some light off-roading adventures with the family (I'm a super armature to this).
Knowing what you learned through experience do you have any words of wisdom to share here?
Hoping to not get flamed.

I went for a 2014 purely based on aesthetics. The trucks are effectively identical mechanically. The same goes for a 2014 and a 2021, although I really like the new F-sport front ends and updated headlights. It mechanically is no different than a 2010. If you're going to go with a 3" lift and 33" tires, clearance probably won't be an big issue for you if you're not doing rockclimbing IMO. I found there was a pretty large price gap between 10-13 and 14+ because of the updated bumpers. The 10-13's seem more prone to the SAIS issue as the foam filter material was revised in 14+ but this is an extended warranty item from lexus regardless or you can do a unifilter mod (which I have done anyway).

Yea that is one bad *** rig. I saw one for sale looked like this, black 2017, but interior was beige, if it was black or brown interior I would be all over it.
I saw this and said to myself a 2014+ will be just fine...

Great thank you sir, but as others have mentioned if I do 2.5 to 3" lift kit it doesn't really matter I guess.
