Battery light after installing new AGM battery and ArcLight
Quick background:
Bought new Napa AGM battery, charged it fully and then installed it and ArcLight. Truck started right away and I lost nothing as far as presets, clock, etc.
However, the battery light is now on. I only took it for a couple mile drive but was wondering if this is normal. I set the Arclight to low boost and not high boost.
Thanks in advance

Not familiar with the arclight but if there's no fuse there, diode installed reversed, or the alternator can't see the battery thorough that fused path then the light will come on. Could have a bad arclight unit? If you do a continuity test across the arclight unit it should work one way and not the other. The arc light is simply a fuse+diode in series

The arclight will only install one way. There is no room to reverse how I install it. I might have to look into the "homemade" way of doing it.
ArcLight stated that it was not made for a GX and was only tested for the 4th gen 4Runner so maybe that's the issue. Thank you for the response.

As my third grade catholic school nun teacher would say, "Go stand in the corner with the dunce hat on".
And as my granddaughter says, "Pops, read the instructions!!"!
I did not put the original fuse into the Arclight. All is good now, no battery light, all preset setting good to go.
Thank you all.

Completed the GM 12135037 Diode mod for the Odyssey AGM, even though I've not had any issues I'll just file this under cheap insurance. The arrow points towards the driver and the opposite side took a little filling to fit but once at idle it gives a perfect 14.50v.
