Stuck in a bog for 30 min
What do you guys think? Took about 30 min to get pulled out after framing out with hidden ruts. Should I change the differential fluid again? The rear end was lower than the front. Unfortunately water did get in on the drivers side.
Edited to correct drivers side not passenger.

Definitely the rear diff. Depending how that looks, perhaps the TC or front diff...
More concerning would be all the electrical connections and wires running thru the floor and door sills....

Agree.... with nuclearn8.. at least rear and potentially the other two.
Stereo working alright? That non-ML amplifier is under the front passenger seat as well as the rear seat entertainment ECU

No electrical issues as of now. Fingers crossed but I have faith that Toyota makes pretty good products. Spent about 2 1/2 hours taking the upholstery machine to the carpets. Definitely doing the rear and I’ll see how that looks and do the others as necessary as mentioned. Water intrusion was on the driver side mostly under the driver seat. It was not a pleasant experience.
Yeah, the Pine Barrens can get you good. That was the go-around too...

The GX460 can't handle this with all of the off-road options?

Your front diff is probably fine as the breather is up in engine bay. The breathers for AT & TC are on the lower part of the firewall. I can't remember if these stock breathers are two way or not.
If it is just damp in the floor probably no ECU damage but I have seen 470 owners on GXOR take out their amps if there is water on the floor sloshing around.
Diffs if I recall operate in a pressured state most of the time and heated air exhausts through the diff breather but rapid cooling such as that cold water could suck water back in through the axle seals.

I had a good inch or two of water on the drivers side. Nasty water at that too. The truck was leaning to the drivers side. You should of seen me using a 24oz gas station coffee cup like a boat that was sinking 😂 for like 30 min. The water was definitely very cold but I did not shut the vehicle off.
Would you estimate this firewall where the breathers are to to be above the tire height? Also any idea if they are driver or passenger side?

I don't believe any ECUs on floor level on driver side so should be safe there.

That's good to know. I avoided a huge swamp/bog that was past diff deep last week because I was worried about damaging the diff/tc/tranny. I think one of my projects this winter will be to re-route the diff breather... although I have been reading that they are a one-way breather... anyone have insight on this?
