I have a 2012 GX 460. I recently purchased this and was told by the previous owner that the AFS off blinking light error was due to the rear height sensor failure. I bought new sensors with the entire full bracket asembly. After installing them, my vehicle sits very low. I also still get the AFS error still, but wonder if this is due to them not being adjusted correctly (hoping that is all it is). For now I have put the original assembly back on and my ride height seems good, but not sure if it is accurate or not. So I am probaly dealing with 2 issues right now. The AFS issue and properly setting up the ride height sensor. I would like to try to resolve the sensor and the height adjust issue first as I am hoping it will resolve the 1st AFS issue as well.
My question is does anyone know the height default setting. I understand and have read on the GX 470 there is a drop measurement from the hub to the center of the Trailing arm (forward) attachment point. For the 470 it appears this is 3.04"
Does anyone know this measurement for the 460? is it the same?
Thanks for any help as I am new to this and wrenching as well. I now realize the sensor doesn't just work for the lights, it also sets the rear airbags pressure, thus contributing to the height of the vehicle and the ride and overall safety of it. The nearest lexus dealer is 2.5 hours away and hoped to avoid the trip if possible.
